Ni-Mh type battery bank voltage is 1.2, while Li-ion is 3.7 volts. In the first case, we have 6X1.2=7.2 volts, two such elements are grouped together and the voltage is 14.4 volts, the entire hybrid computer is set up for charging/discharging based on these data. How to replace Li-ion accumulators so directly with Ni-MH, so that no problems arise?? Then the data in the computer should also be changed as to when the car should start charging and when it should end

theses are 5s li-fe batterys in each pack. it's close enough the computer doesn't care and there a circuit board in each pack that cuts the volt to the cells so they don't over charge and in that way it also balances them. I have some over a year old and 15k miles in a truck and they work well so far. try to order the version 2.5 if you can.

Interesting video. Really bad design for those air intakes on the floor. At my old 2011 Toyota Auris the battery is located in the booth of the car and you only have to flip the backseats to get to it. The air intake is also in the backrest of the second row, so high above the floor. To bad we don't have company's overhere like yours where customers can help with a job like this. 🙁

Thank you for your very informative videos. This is off topic but what are your thoughts in regard to the Prius 12v battery and its effects on gas mileage? I bought a used 172,000 miles 2011 Prius in 2018 in which the 12v battery has never been changed. Gas mileage has been just ok around 41 mpg last 3-4 years. Car now has 275,000 miles and I've been reluctant to go for replacing the main HV battery because of the high cost and the age of the car etc. To make a long story short I ran the 12v battery down, so I put a 12v battery charger on for maybe 2hrs. The gas mileage went from 41mpg to 44.6mpg. A couple days later again battery charger, mpg went up to 47-48mpg. I'm going to continue charging the battery every couple of days to see what maximum mpg (51/48?) is possible. If this 12v battery is part of the low gas mileage problem I will definitely consider buying a new 12v battery about $215.00 from the dealer. Would this be a topic for you to do a video to clarify the total function and effect on mpg of the 12v battery in the Toyota Prius hybrid system? There only seems to be only minimal info on what it actually does etc. Thanks.
