Each aspect of TPPT was formulated to make you - the patient - stronger, better, faster. Whether you're looking for physical therapy in Hatfield, PA, or aquatic therapy in North Wales, PA, we help patients eliminate pain through one-on-one hands on therapy.
Many patients have become disillusioned with healthcare and are tired of doctors who can’t find out what is wrong with them. At Total Performance Physical Therapy we specialize in finding out what is wrong with you when doctors and other healthcare professionals cannot. Through our hands on therapy we are able to find the origin of pain that many times people had become frustrated with.
We heal patients through hands on therapy and exercise, without the use of medications, injections or surgery. Most of our patients have given up hope of ever getting better or returning to activities that they love and that is where we come in, providing expert physical therapy to return people to activities that they love, no matter how many other inventions they have tried.
For those people who are not able to tolerate land therapy we have a heated pool. This is a 92 degree, private, enclosed pool. Many therapy pools are located out in the open and people have to walk through the clinic in their bathing suit or worse they have to share the pool with other patrons. At Total Performance Physical Therapy, we have a private heated pool. The locker room, shower and pool are all contained in a separate room so that you have your own heated pool to yourself.
Total Performance Physical Therapy is focused on returning the patient to their lives pain free. Following therapy we provide you with personal training to get you into a full routine and get you back to living. Our trainers work with you to get you back to the life you want, looking and feeling great.
Total Performance Physical Therapy is all about the patient. From the minute you walk in the door, we want you to be apart of the Total Performance Physical Therapy family. Our focus from the time you walk in the door is on you, the patient. We know that being in pain is something that is scary and leads to misery and often times people who come and see us have been many other places and have had no results. We want to make sure that we are providing the best possible experience while we get you pain free and back to life.

Thank you for the practical advice. So many other folks tell you to "Increase core strength" when they don't seem to realize someone with a strain has an injury that needs to - fully heal first - before getting back to the routine of working out. Especially if you've torn something in the abdominal wall. This type of injury is really aggravating to deal with since it may take a couple of weeks to full heal and most active folks mentally can't stand sitting around not doing stuff or working out. The only "shortcut" (if even that) I've found with this type of injury is to buy a very tight lower back brace that doubles as an abdomen brace and wear that around so you don't accidentally re-injure the area from regular day to day activities. Basically it's the "C" in R.I.C.E that so many folks forget about these days.

This is soo good video!! Thank you so much!! I lifted a box that was too heavy apparently while packing to move and afterwards I got pain and burning and swelling in my abdomen. Now can't walk upstairs or bend down much. It's been about a week and I feel it's getting better now. I have just been trying to rest as much as possible but it's hard when you are in the process of moving to another home. Ugh!!

oh wow, im in the same boat as a lot of the commenters here.....i exercise and usually once or twice a year i end up straining the midsection, oblique area, even the lower abs as well, and sometimes it takes days, or sometimes weeks, i made the mistake of stretching, and that screwed me over even more.....im in the middle of one of these muscle pain issues now....i need to pay attention when i move or get up out of a chair too, especially now...this video was pretty helpful too....

Same here, had my all my organs checked with an MRI and they found nothing, ultimately the doc said it might be muscular. And well after she pointed out where it should hurt that was exactly the spot, and movement, however it also hurts when I’m sitting and leaning forward.

Thanks for advice. I’ve been doing the movements you said like rolling over to get up and not twisting 2 weeks prior to watching the vid and I’ve seen massive decrease in pain in my abdominal muscle. I did try to get directly up like what you said not to do while watching the vid just to see if that will aggravate it since it’s been getting better for two weeks now and yea won’t be doing that again.

I over-rotated off of a rope swing and smacked my side on the water from about 40 feet. Got a CT scan because I felt and heard a loud pop followed by extreme pain. They said nothing was wrong. My upper left abdomen keeps spasming while at rest as well as when I move. I also keep hearing small pops and slight movement in the abdomen area. I feel like I can’t do anything (quite literally). If anyone has a similar experience I’d love to hear your thoughts as the ER was no help.

so i lifted a 80lb bag of concrete wrong last week, kept working, and once i stopped felt just not quite right which meant i started feeling around for a hernia. found nothing but kept feeling around. basically aggravating the whole area (right side lower abdomen). i'd get little twinges of pain and those seem to have subsided. its now a few days after i've stopped poking things and while i do feel better and can do whatever i need it just kind feels "tight" or something over there. protips?

@jensz9360
@jensz9360 6 ай бұрын
Yes same exact thing here. Its like a pain in the testicle, but no sign of actual hernia even when doing sneeze and cough test. It feels like its more blique. Hard t pinpoint and describe. Min has been going on for about 3 days now since I did jump rope intensely and have not done so in a at least 2 months. Pain comes on and off, like a pulling sensation mixed with sharpness and brief. I woke up and felt it and was sitting at desk at work and felt a sharp pain like it , also was driving and felt the pain. Do you have any updates since its been 2 weeks? Are you still in pain?
