I have been fortunate enough to see Beth in concert on 4 different shows. I've been following her since the late 90's before she got clean. This was actually her first show after getting sober. She is a friggin force of nature in more ways than one. Check out: -"Caught Out in the Rain" live at Royal Albert Hall -"I'd Rather Go Blind" live with Joe Bonamasa in Amsterdam -"Leave the Light On" live at the Paradiso Those are just a few to get you going down the rabbit hole of one the most talented, soulful, and most importantly GENUINE women of our time

She is clean and sober in this video. She is a recovering addict and suffered from bipolar disorder. Check out 'Leave the Light On' live at Royal Albert Hall. She discusses her issues before performing the song

Beth has won best female blues singer more than once. She is performing with her own band here, but she also performs with others. She with blues guitarist Joe bonamassa are fantastic, best of which is "I'd rather go blind" that's a cover of etta James. She just recorded, with Slash, "Stormy Monday", shes dont quite a bit, you can not go wrong with any. She also performs her own music too

She's not 'on' anything. Beth is such a highly skilled singer (and musician) that every sound she utters is deliberate, planned and executed to absolute precision.

She is one of the best singers out there. "I,D Rather go Blind" with Joe Bonamassa is Epic. She has been through alot and kept going.

@@TraciKReacts @TraciKReacts there is another beth hart performance that is incredible and it features Joe Bonamasa. Its a cover of etta james song. Its I'd rather go blind live in amsterdam. You said you love guitar solos so i recommend this one. FYI Joe is the guitar player.

Yes, she first sang this song as a contestant on Star Search in 1993. She won in her category. She has different versions of this song. Cover artists pick the more jazzy version.

Believe it or not she was sober here. However, smoking doob in Amsterdam is allowed and if there were people smoking there it is possible that you could get stoned on the smoke in the club. I went to a concert where Bob Marley's band The Wailers performed here in Cape Town in a marquee and I got SO frucked on the smoke around me that I almost dropped......

if you really like blues/ Rock may i suggest listening (if you want to react to it , by all means do) to Orgy of the damned by Slash. ( also has Beth Hart on it doing "Stormy Monday" ) i haven't bought a record in over 15 years, but i got that one.
