Track [almost] anything QUICKLY with the Tracker Node in Davinci Resolve!

The Tracker Node in Fusion - let's use it to track things! It's not so bad, but there ARE some caveats, which I'll explain. I'm slowly getting to grips with Resolve and have managed to get a few motovlog videos on to my channel over the past few months. Im now using your multicam method rather than the sync bin, which I have found so much better than the sync bin, but fusion still scares the crap out of me. Your bite sized explanations are just perfect! Most tutorials I have watched go way too in depth for beginners like me. Thank you and keep them coming please!

Dang. Not that I have a whole lot of time to learn a new editing software, but this is pretty cool. Has me thinking maybe give it a try. Silly me signed up for a Python programming class so I may have to wait on trying to learn something new. But, I know where to go when ready. :)

Hello from the UK, love the Vlog, nice pace, and you explain it very well, l have a question for you, does the paid version of resolve run better/ faster than the free version. I currently have the free version, but I am not sure whether to upgrade?

I believe it does run a bit faster - there's more use of the GPU than the Free version. Besides that, you get a bunch of cool features like Magic Mask. To me, it's 100% worth the price. I bought it years ago, and I haven't had to pay for any upgrades, either!

Do you mind if I ask you a question? I am getting frustrated with resolve when i am recomposing because I can't see what is being cropped. So if i crop in to a clip, i need to see what is happening on the cropped section so i can plan the recompose better. Do you know how DYNAMIC ZOOM works? your see your frame and you can move it between 2 key frames. I need THIS but with many key frames! (not only 2). Do you know if there are options that can do this OR simply show the cropped picture maybe greyed out or dimmed. THANK YOU!

That's a good question! You could do your X/Y moves in one pass through a clip, then add the Zoom in a second pass. There's no way that I know of to show what's outside the bounds of the frame. What's the end goal of what you're trying to accomplish?
