Great video, rake and baler work great in hay/ long grass but im curious on how both machines handle picking up and clearing dead fallen leaves that could make a great video
@Tractortoolsdirect Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! We actually do have customers who use the balers for this after hay season when the leaves are falling. There's just a few things to keep in mind when baling different types of materials. Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions and we're happy to help you however we can. Maybe that's a video for the future! 260-225-3429

The only way I can see this mini round baler being worth it is if you crank the weight of bales up to about 60 to 80 pounds or so and have it as a baler and wrapper combination. That way, you would cut your time somewhat. I have seen on KZbin that they do this on some farms in Europe. So the question is, do these mini balers come with a combination wrapper?
@Tractortoolsdirect6 жыл бұрын
Yes, we do sell a wrapper to go along with this baler. Please contact us for details. info@tractortoolsdirect.com
@tyleracmason6 жыл бұрын
Is this a wrapper that is in COMBINATION with the baler? In other words, as a bale is being made the previous bale is being wrapped all in the same motion on the same tractor.
@FriendlyFarmMachineryToolCpBel5 жыл бұрын
No, it is a separate procedure.

@@Tractortoolsdirect I'm sorry but that's not worth it. Might as well square bale. I would buy one if the bales could be made a little bigger and come with combo wrapper to save time. Doing it this way would be more time consuming and harder to handle than square bales. Sorry!

I really like the setup and have myself and 2 other hobby farms lined up to buy the bales. Like one other guy said, I want to control the timing of the baling process so we have good quality hay. Does anyone know if the bales sell on the open market? If I have excess bales I would like to sell them but they are different. I guess if the quality is good someone will buy these things and figure out a way to stack them. Thank you, Tony

Thanks for watching! Feel free to give us a call and we are happy to help however we can. 260-225-3429. Good hay will speak for itself and stacking these bales are a piece of cake. Market them to horse and pony owners. I should think that women and the elderly especially would be grateful of the added ease and conveniencet of their light weight and portability. You could probably sell them at a greater profit for this "Fun size" alone, as it is with all convenience sized products everywhere.

We do end up baling some unusual pastures and places to test our equipment from time to time and have bales from all types of material sitting around the warehouse for us to use when testing equipment. That sure was dusty though! Thanks again!

Think horse and pony *owners* smart arse. Lots of them are women and girls, plus you've got elderly people who are still in love with keeping a few ole animals around, and these lighter bales make it possible for all of these people to easily transport them by hand. And where they can't lift them, they can just roll them along, so they have that advantage over small square bales.

I deleted my previous comment, but still hold my dislike with round bales. Dealing with small acreage, space is a premium factor, especially for stacking. You can only go so high with round bales. "Traditional" balers may meet your needs. You can get used or reconditioned swathers, balers, rakes, stakers that may fit your needs at very reasonable prices. A couple of key things I see. One is that this baling implement makes uniform bales. Very important when gathering & stacking bales. The other is hp requirements. These balers do not need nearly the hp that rectangle balers do. If you opt for a brand new baler, you can get a used sickle bar & rake to offset the expenses while still being able to afford your haying.😊😊😊 2nd views are always good for hindsight! LOL 😊
@TractortoolsdirectАй бұрын
Hi Guy, I didn't read your previous comment but I appreciate that you took the time to revisit and give new thoughts. Round bales aren't for everyone. One thing I'll say though is that with the proper support you can stack round bales just about as high as squares, especially if you set them on end. Even with putting them on their sides in a honey comb pattern, you can still stack them pretty high. We have had customer send us pictures of them stacked up to 8-9 layers tall, which would be around 15'. That's more than enough for most barns. -Jason

@@bodhixxx1, He could have adjusted the rake. The balers have been used for decades in Europe. One can get a fifty-sixty# bale by adjusting the tension. Haymaking equipment is expensive, so one should do the math! Personally, I can't stand to depend on someone else to do my work. Probably an ego problem. But, this equipment can pay for itself after a few years, depending on how much one uses it. It is definitely geared for the hobby farmer, not to make money off of. Baling pine straw, now that may be a money maker! The rake works great and is almost fool proof. By the way I use it on a "walking tractor". I just like the exercise and the ability to work very steep slopes!
