Tatum was never projected this good out of college and had a solid but not phenomenal rookie season until the playoffs where he was really good for a rookie but not as amazing as the media hype had him. In terms of overall performance Kuzma has put up far better numbers, I'd still take Tatum due to age, but they should hold similar value. Ingram has a much higher ceiling and is at the moment still better than Brown. Lonzo has a much much higher upside than Rozier, is much younger and I'd say is probably still more productive at this point in their careers. You say every Laker players has been underwhelming and I'd say it's even greater with Boston. You can look at advanced stats, per game stats and the Lakers 3 prospects have similar production to the Celtics 3 and they have more upside. Lakers are offering all of that plus potentially cap flexibility, other good prospects in Hart and Zubac, plus two first rounders? Boston objectively can't offer a trade with as much value as that unless they offer 4 first round picks which Ainge almost certainly won't. Their picks from other teams are going down in value because Sacremento is playing well and the rest are protected, and other than the 3 Boston players mentioned they don't have any other attractive pieces and they don't have attractive expiring deals next year to my knowledge.

If Davis is not traded by the deadline, the Pelicans better not play AD again this season. The absolute last thing anyone wants, the organization, AD, or the fans, is to see AD get hurt playing in meaningless basketball for a team that he has already decided he no longer wants to play with and we all know will not be making the playoffs even if he does play. If he gets hurt, he becomes a tougher asset to trade and/or you get far less value for him and that is not to mention the potential damage to the trajectory of Davis' career. Now, I also want to put some focus on the way the media runs this story vs Kawhi. If the Pelicans sit AD and lie about him having an injury, that is acceptable. However, when Kawhi sits himself (I am speaking about the people in the media and fans alike that thought Leonard was faking the injury) for the season for the exact same reason under the exact same circumstances, he is considered a bad guy. I do not know why people are so bias to hate the players doing everything they can to protect themselves but defend big business and their ruthless policies and treatment of players, but I think it needs to be balanced out. If I think it is smart for New Orleans to sit AD for the season, then it better be OK for Kawhi to sit himself for the same reasons for the rest of his season, too. I think New Orleans is gambling with AD right now and the odds are against him. I don't think the Lakers will be willing to give the whole young core for AD this summer when they see that no other teams have no better others than what the Lakers are offering now. The Lakers are willing to sell everything on the farm for AD right now. I don't think any team including Boston would be willing to make or come close to what the Lakers are offering now. When the Lakers see that no team has as much interest in AD as they do then the current trade offer is going to downsize and not increase like Demps expects it to. It's Lonzo, Ingram, and Kuzma now but come July 1st one of them is going to be out the deal.
