People are wrong when they say that loving is difficult, what is really difficult is being WILLING to truly love because everyone needs love and longs to be loved but only some are WILLING to love. When you have the will, love will be easy and intuitive for you.
@Bronte86611 ай бұрын
Respectfully, maybe you are referring to your own unwillingness to love. People often say “we” when it’s actually themselves. But you are right - many are unwilling to love because their caretakers did not truly love them. People are very terrified of realizing that their parents did not truly love them and will not accept it even though that’s where it starts. Humans are not the finest creatures on this planet. I am very loving and very willing to love but it is very difficult to find others who are able to love. Many see those who are loving as weak, as prey to harm & destroy. And this makes it all even worse.

Nostalgia - its delicate, but potent. Teddy told me that in Greek nostalgia literally means “the pain from an old wound.” It’s a twinge in your heart far more powerful than memory alone. This device isn’t a spaceship, it’s a time machine. It goes backwards, and forwards… it takes us to a place where we ache to go again. It’s not called the wheel, it’s called the carousel. It let’s us travel the way a child travels - around and around, and back home again, to a place where we know we are loved. Don Draper

I pray for your patience and for God to be with you always. I felt like you described after my wife and I divorced after 11 1/2 yrs. Our girls were 2 and 4 and they stayed with me in our divorce and I've raised them on my own ever since. Fixing to be 10 and 12, I don't know where time goes. Almost 6 yrs ago I met a very Beautiful girl who was going thru a divorce and 6 yrs later she's still going thru it. We're totally committed to one another but we've never lived under one roof in the six yrs. She has 2 kids as well. With us in separate houses and raising 4 kids with activities it's almost like we never see one another. I feel if I hadn't gotten involved with her i would have already met the one God had for me. I was single when we met. In the last 2yrs I've thought seriously about ending it, but I never have the courage too. The thought of it makes me sick. I don't want to go thru what I've been thru already but I don't want to loose this point in my life to try and meet someone that's more available and wanting too start a life under one roof and have a life together. I'm almost 45 and time isn't going backwards. Relationships are hard. May God bless you
@heatherbartlett31489 ай бұрын
@arthurradley4423 I am single for this very reason. I'd rather be fulfilled on my own than devote myself to someone who isn't 100% devoted to me. I trust my intuition more than ever. Humans have a built-in "compass" to steer us in the right direction, but too many people ignore it. I learned the hard way to NEVER ignore those red flags. But I'm truly grateful for the life lesson! Please don't ever settle for the sake of not being alone. Once you have enough time on your own to self-reflect and truly grow, it'll take a literal Mrs. Right for you to give up the peace in your solitude! Best of luck to you and your situation! 🫶

I learned from a young age to live my life in LOVE, not fear, and that in coming to love my SELF, not myself, I learned to love everyone and everything in my life unconditionally. Many people don't like being around me, as I am always sending love out from myself, and they feel threatened by my energy and philosophy.
@Palidin133 жыл бұрын
Loving SELF is embracing all that makes you unique, the good the bad and the ugly. Loving myself is narcissism. I started loving all people when I was shown that we are all sick in our own ways, and hate only poisons thyself. If people are tending to shy away from you oh, it could be just need to get to know them with a little phatics first before introducing Concepts they're not familiar with period also be careful with jargon it can turn people off quickly. Best wishes Sean
@MrCrystalwarrior13 жыл бұрын
@@Palidin13 I've been told many people don't like being around me because I'm "too positive" for them to deal with, don't allow anyone to talk others down, and don't bow down to the "beautiful" people who think that because they're physically attractive it gives them a license to treat everyone around them badly. I don't tolerate disrespect, narcissism or pretty much any negative behaviour, as I myself used to indulge in certain negative ways when I was younger, mainly due to being bullied by family/teachers and others, and so became quite violent at times. I learned to accept myself and set boundaries, and my life became so much better that I won't turn back on how far I've evolved, and appreciate who I AM, what I have in life, and also what I don't have in life (Such as materialistic ideals, jealousy, addictions to alcohol/drugs etc), and live my life victoriously every day. Most people I meet seem to focus on what they don't have when compared to so-called "celebrities," and so miss out on celebrating so much that they DO have inside themselves. I've met many celebrities over the years, and most of them are deeply unhappy people away from the cameras/limelight. I try every day to make anyone I meet feel better about themselves, which is just my way of trying to make the world a better place to live in. Social media has many trolls following me and making derisive comments about me as a person, yet the very few who've actually met me after posting such comments have found themselves changed after spending time getting to know me and learning that they aren't what they think they are, hiding behind a keyboard.

Keeping you close in prayer .. your suffering never goes unnoticed, those who love you can feel your pain & struggles .. Unfortunately my wife died in Oct 2013 . My little girl was starting school for the first time back then & I had no clue how life would play out . I don’t want to bore you with a long drawn out spill but I promised myself I wouldn’t fall in love again because 10 years before marriage I was in a DUI crash that killed my high school heart .. After a few years of cussing God out every chance ever given it took years away from my life . Such vivid nightmares of the two of us trapped in my Mustang .. In having ptsd,the putrid smells of death & chaos surround me each night …. If we can’t beat it learn to love it , welcome the pressure , the constant state of panic and be comforted by what no one els can handle.. Is it possible?? I don’t know ?? Im working on it & probably will be for years to come , alive with my little girl graduating high school next year ptsd will suffer from me .. Unknowing how life will play out still, I do know the breath in my lungs pisses the devil off to know end cause he almost had me 3 times now so if he wants it , he will have to earn it .. Yesterday’s mistakes shouldn’t affect tomorrow and its decisions .. I don’t presume to know the pain you may feel, I don’t know what you are facing talking to someone who might be able to relate is always progress.. May God Bless you & your burdens. Keep the fight going Aiden .. Praying for you in FL God Bless

it isn't so much how or where we will get the love from...we all have it. Its deep down bursting to get out. Our desire to love and beloved is the deepest of all. Its about seeing this deeply repressed love needs to be let out.

To love individual that has freewill takes courage once you become aware of all outcomes in choosing to interact with fate . Nothing can be guaranteed so it takes courage to love To really love

This keeps coming back around and I think I have listened to it about three times now. I never tire of it. It always elevates me. To experience the truth of what he talks about is the greatest blessing one can ever ask for. I feel blessed for having loved. For loving. For being loved. And for having learned that love and pain are one and the same thing. Thank you for sharing love. And yes, yes, yes, yes... the world needs more of it. Love Yourself. Love Nature. Love Everything and Everyone of Any Nature.
@UP4OFFER Жыл бұрын
I like what you are suggesting however LOVE and PAIN are most definitely not the same thing. Pain can lead to love and love may lead to pain but they do not share the same description. If what you love is causing you pain then I suggest it is not an ideal fit unfortunately. Love heals pain, pain does not heal love. See what happened there? I hope this helps you in some manner further understand the spectrums of human emotions. Love is beautiful, delicate even and true love is extremely rare. If found it is to be protected and guarded at ALL costs. As if it were the very essence the universe depended on and would collapse without it. I would die for what I love most, I would also endure pain for it. If I could see fragments of my past lives I believe if it's inbuilt in you those things would never change. ❤️

And how beautiful it is no matter if you never meet the reason but the feeling of falling in love man it's no better feeling .it's wonderful because even if you never meet you're safe your heart is protected for the illusion in your heart and soul it never changes it's pure .

I just had a mutual breakup with my girlfriend because of long distance and it’s absolutely devastating even though it was just 5 months. Love is so strong it can bring so much happiness or bring absolute devastation, but it seems to me to be the best thing ever or so it feels like haha

My son was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2013 and ten years later I'm still grieving for him, for his loss of potential, feels a bit like there's been a death. And in my quest to know what happened, why, what will happen to him? Has led me all over the place, trying to feel better about this, tryna ng to be happy. Somehow I came across Alan Watts, knew of him, knew the name but unsure who or what he was, and I'm learning about him, listening to some of these videos. His voice really is soothing.

For all you AW fans here, his autobiography is really something else. You’re connection to him will be so much deeper after reading it. You’ll laugh to tears over and over too! In My Own Way is the title

I will look out for it - What brings me back to Alan Watts is his mischievous, rascaly, impish humor as much as his formidable intellect- he was/is so full of Life.

4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Cor. 13:4

As a 32 year old man whose never been in a relationship or had sex , listening to this has given me hope that I can find someone.

28 here, had sex twice, didn't like it both times. I also never had a girlfriend. Thought maybe i was so depressed that i simply couldn't enjoy sex, but I'm more thinking I just didn't enjoy it because it was with the person i didn't love. Don't just go have sex, to have sex. Have sex with the person you truly love, i believe it's so much better.
@CharlieClark-u7z Жыл бұрын
@joshhumbler4197 I respect your openess, thank you for that. I understand exactly where you're coming from. I like having a strong emotional connection with someone. I've never had that with anyone , whether that be with family or a love interest. I want so bad to just be human with someone and love someone's being , as well as loving their body . The thing is, i don't love myself at all. I'm alive but I'm not living, yet. There's a long story to that. I don't think I'll be able to be in a relationship , let alone a sexual one , until I learn to love and accept myself.
@joshhumbler4197 Жыл бұрын
@@CharlieClark-u7z holy shit you sound like me. I don't like myself either, and i don't have any emotions towards family. I take care of my father financially not because i love him but because i simply see it as an obligation for taking care of me when i was a child. He's a huge alcoholic and i hate when he calls cause he's always drunk just asking for more money. My brothers don't bother with him so i don't bother with them. But i feel like i have no human emotions. I simply do just to do. Just know, you ain't the only one who thinks the way you do.
@CharlieClark-u7z Жыл бұрын
@joshhumbler4197 I took care of my sick mother , we were all each other had. I don't have any siblings. My family and me are estranged to a degree because I don't believe in God and all that , also they were very abusive when I was a kid and so I learned early they aren't to be trusted. My father was an alcoholic, abuser and dope fiend. I am just now starting to figure myself out as a person and it is so strange, yet rewarding. The biggest and hardest thing is that I don't have anyone that I can call for help if I'm hurting and what's worse is I don't even have myself. I'm getting there, but i still don't have myself.
@joshhumbler4197 Жыл бұрын
@@CharlieClark-u7z i also do not believe in god, and i know the feeling of not being able to call anyone. When i was homeless and when i was in a dark place no one cared, i was a nuisance to them. Now i have a job and my own place every talks about me saying "oh why doesn't he talk to his family, that's wrong" and stuff like that. I myself also drink but I'm a function alcoholic, i just get by day by day.
