Hi Keith You don’t “blend” a flank in top and bottom, it would look really rough. It’s all done at one time. If you had to join the 2 you would use and expansion joint bead.

Hello, Alex. How do you tell if the render's ready for floating up? I know that it depends on a number of factors but there are probably signs. I sometimes have to give the wall a light haze of water before I go over it with a poly float, so that probably means that I'm doing something wrong. Thank you and keep up the good work.

After years of floating render and then sponge finishing, I cant stand it anymore. The products i use now dodge that. Use a drywall sander to sand flat the 1st coat and then use a red float to finish up the next thin coat. So much quicker and i can do it on my own easy.
