I am not Muslim, but as an American who will retire to Turkey, I want to learn to make this for my religious Turkish friends. I think it will be a great way to associate with the culture, meet new people and show respect during Ramadan.

I've always wanted to learn how to cook turkish food but couldn't find any recipes in English or with an English translation. I am so happy i have found your channel! Now i can finally learn! Thank you so much for all of your hard work in showing the world the beauty of turkish food!

@@TFT I'm not sure because I was younger and I went with my mom and her friends to the restaurant. There was an assortment of different meats but what I really loved even before that was the bread. If I remember correctly, it looked puffed up but as soon as you tore a piece, it would deflate because it was hollow on the inside (so I suppose it was a sort of flatbread?) The bread and an assortment of different dips were served before the meat and the bulgur (also a favourite of mine which i have tried to recreate but can't get it right 😭). Also the rice pudding at the end was amazing! We make rice pudding in my country as well and it is good, especially the one my grandma makes, but it does not compare to the turkish one. I'm not sure but I think the turkish rice pudding is baked in the oven. Ours is not. Thank you for your reply and kind words! Looking forward to more of your videos! May you be blessed with long and healthy life so you can continue to teach us!
