My husband loves this bread. I've made it several times. He won't buy bread from the store anymore. So now, I have to make this all the time. He's from Turkey and it reminds him of home. Thanks for the recipe.

I made the bread using another recipe which used oil to knead the dough. Missed the 2nd rising part so no air pockets but the bread was soft and yummy! Everyone in the family LOVED it! It lasted us for 3 days (refrigerated) and was still soft on Day 3 :) Now I've been asked to make another batch :) Will use your recipe & tips this time.

Living in Athens I had the chance to try all kinds of pita like bread, Greek, Arabic, Cypriot etc. And I gotta say bazlama was on my top favorites along with our pita and Armenian lavash....the unfortunate part is I only found it once out of chance in a restaurant that did City cuisine (Istanbul /Constantinople cuisine) and never had the chance to try it again ever since :(
