@@silentgrind34I don't put up ads or flyers. Literally all my work is word of mouth or people curious, coming up to ask prices, how far out ill travel, etc. I obtained a contract with all the community buildings on an indian reservation (tax emept). So pretty much everything but they're casino, I was asked if I wanted to do the casino but I passed and referred them to another window washing company I know who specializes in commercial. I tried using a fb page and ads for 1 year but all I got was countless spam phone calls, messages & people who ask for info & estimates, then stop replying when I ask for the address. For someone like me just starting out in the business I have to say this is one of the best instructional videos I've seen, no music is why I picked your video to watch, and you showed us the job from start to finish, you did an excellent job by the way, I have just about all the water fed pole gear needed to do the job, but I also want to be able to offer customers a choice of WFP or traditional, no doubt I will get customers that won't like the thought of me leaving the frames and glass wet, which is why I'm in the process of buying a full kit of traditional gear, thank you for taking the time to make this video and for showing us the gear you use, my mind is now made up on which ladder to buy, one last thing, which brand of soap do you use ?, cheers Trad Man and all the best for the future.

I’ve just started, I’m in Nashville, Tn, and I have a 14” ninja and I got the new moerman 18” excelerator with the 3.0 liquidator channel. I’m practicing everywhere I can, work, home, jiu jitsu, but I’m having a hard time with leaving lots of detailing. And trying to use it on a pole is even tougher. Today I noticed that when I switch to my left hand, I’m almost 80% better, but still trying to teach my right hand. I have been watching a ton of your videos lately and practice using a Scottish accent lol. Thanks for the videos!

Hey i also have the 3.0 channel and it gave me a ton of trouble with it just skipping over water when i first started using it, to the point where i didnt use it entirely. Be a big fish in a small pond, not a small fish in a big pond. The window clean and go is what I call " slap and tickle" race to get it done, round every corner leave water on the sill. Moerman needs to make a variety of sizes. A Excelerator 1.0 makes a great handle for a 6” channel.

I'm based in the South West and because of a job loss I'm so am considering this as a line of work, and like this rather than pole system (people in my area have been asking for traditional). What would you say is a fair price, is it better to charge per window (no lead diamonds or complex stuff) and say £1.25 per window pane, so a two bed semi works out around £22.50. Does that sound about right? And enjoyed the video, relaxing to watch.
@TradManАй бұрын
Price is a tricky one to comment on as areas can be different but as a general rule £1 for easy standard ground floor windows, £1.50 for similar windows but on the 1st floor. £2 for 2nd floor and so on but depends on the window size and if it's sash windows charge more as you'll be cleaning more framework

does the unger green rubber fit on the moerman 2.0 liquidator channel? nice video :)
@TradMan3 жыл бұрын
Yeah sure does. Get unger green clips to. They help hold the rubber nice and snug 👍🏻

Hi pete mate, great video, as usual. Comments that come to mind...funny and sympathy with the wasps trouble, you avoided that one 😉. Stingers never got you neither, ...pro...you close out mostly on the right, your rubber will probably wear out on your left? Don't forget to tell the viewers, only work 2 handed on the ground floor only. Does that Samurai 2 insert really 🤔 work? As for the applicator, I am trying to invent a device capable of holding the applicator horizontal, instead of vertical....seems to me that it would solve it drying out and being too wet on one end. Do you honestly rate those microfiber cloths, over nice thin scrim? Thats it for now, you certainly looked 👌 like you were enjoying the day.....thats the essence of our trade eh Pete....Nice one from me, God bless you bro.

Yeah the cloths are good, had em for years. Samurai version 2 seems to work ok so far. It's not perfect but does the job better than most at holding excelerator squeegees

Still love my unger ergotec, but practicing with the moerman accelerator. Did you say Samurai boab? Haven't heard of those? Where did you get those?
@TradMan3 жыл бұрын
I bought it from a store in Australia. World of window cleaning I think it was

Its not cheap like lol. But for using excelerator squeegees I've found it to be one of the best. Version 1 wasn't great but version 2 with rubber insert in the squeegee divider is better

What's the Moerman Squeegee called?
@TradMan2 жыл бұрын
The Moerman Excelerator. The washer that can be attached is called a fliq pad.
