Christmas Eve 2024 , just got back from putting flowers on my mum and dad's grave. Thought I’d watch this . Been crying since the shower the Micky Thomas goal. My dad and I went to all be 2 home games that year. Me mum watched the last game at home with me . Never forget that season and that game. What a great time. Just wished they showed Rocky’s goal against boro. RIP Rocky & the 96 🙏🙏🙏

My family have been following this wonderful, incredible football club since the 1920’s. I was at Anfield that night, I was 18 yo - I remember speaking to the coach steward wen we were boarding to get back Highbury , he said, whilst crying ‘ I was at white hart lane in 71, but tonight , tonight this beats that’ I just hugged him. Arsenal was destined for this title and did it in the most incredible set of circumstances. The goosebumps when you hear Thierry Henry at the end in his late piece-to-camera cameo just caps off this documentary. A year or two after winning The Double with Arsenal Ray Kennedy went on to play a part in a hugely successful era with Liverpool under Bob Paisley.

The greatest day of my Arsenal supporting life (since 1971) it says it all when people like Wrighty and Henry who weren't even involved with the team at the time are praising it and commenting on it as a historical achievement. It was absolutely everything to me especially in that season that was blackened by the unlawful killing of football supporters at Hillsborough. Football changed after that night. Some changes for the better and some not so good but I will never forget it.

Congratulations Arsenal from a Liverpool fan. Brilliant performance. The Irish players on both teams played for Ireland 36 hours later! I always remember the Arsenal players presenting flowers to the Kop beforehand in respect to Hillsborough. Wonderful gesture

As a city fan I can say this is the greatest finish to a season…. In ALL of English football history I wouldn’t say 1/2, more like 1a/1b because of how dramatic city’s was but for arsenal to win in that fashion… no better story written

Not a gooner but I was there that night with a friend, his mate couldnt go so he rang me and asked if I fancied going to Anfield. "Erm, YES!!" was my reply so we drive up there and experienced the greatest football moment ever. I still have the Arsenal shirt he gave me to wear and I have to say the Liverpool fans were magnificent that night, remember it was six weeks after Hillsborough and emotions were through the roof. Outside the ground I must have hugged about fifty Liverpool fans who were in tears but so so gracious, a night I will take to my grave. JFT97, eternally xx

Anyone not old enough to remember this or who were as yet unborn can never truly have a real sense of how absolutely impossible it was that this could happen that night...and yet happen it did!! I've watched this film so many times and it gives me the same chills every time. I still think Michael is going to get clattered at the last second before he puts that ball away...and then, to have that presence of mind and that level of coolness to execute that back pass just moments later, unbelievable!! What a moment to have witnessed!

Brilliantly made film! I was watching it in my house in Manchester with five mates, all United fans, all of them rooting for me and the Gunners. One of my really good mates was sat next to me and he kept telling me in the last 20-30 minutes that Arsenal would get the second goal. I so wanted to believe him. I think he genuinely felt it coming from the way we were playing, and of course he could see things differently to a Gunner or Liverpool fan! Extra bit of anecdote: We had gone to the pubs beforehand, and as we were walking back to my house I really wanted to bet a tenner on us winning the title - from memory we were 8/1, but it would have meant missing the kick off, so I didn't make the bet. After the game I was in an ecstasy I don't ever recall having before that, and we all headed back to the pubs. I was the only Gunner around, and everybody was chuffed for me! I had been supporting Arsenal since 1974, so it was 'my' first big win in 15 years! And we so nearly went unbeaten two years later, just one defeat I think, and that was at Chelsea and if my memory is right we were one up at half time and Bould went off injured. We let in two goals second half, and that was the only 45 minutes Bould didn't play that season. If my memory is right!

I lived in Phuket Thailand. I went to my friends open restaurant. She had put a small TV set behind the bar for me to watch the match. There were several Thais supporting Liverpool. I sat on the lounge chair drinking beer and watched the game! Unreal as it went! Most probably the best night of my life! So happy at that result! Still have to 'pinch myself'! I'm still living here, I hope we can do it again! COYG!

I knew about this but never knew it was as dramatic and it's a beautiful football story and what makes football so good and never realised how many good players arsenal had as i was only 7! Wish football was a mixture of how it was then and how it is now, just look at the passion from the fans! Nothing like that now as the lower working class just cant afford it and we're the fans that create the environment, tourist's, novelty goers and people having a day out just don't create anything especially at the big clubs. George Graham was a brilliant manager, Tony Adams was a giant of a player, but don't know why Graham stopped managing? Brilliant film and I'm from Manchester and a United fan ✌️

The parade to the town hall that year is still to this day the best party I’ve ever been to, I’m 51. Went to most games that season. Remember getting crushed at West Ham against one of those metal barriers and my mate saving my life ~ when I saw Hillsborough it sent a shiver through me, still does. I watched the Liverpool game in a Snooker hall of all places. Get goose bumps all over my body watching that goal. Best summer of my life - Acid House parties and Arsenal winning the league. This year I’ve indoctrinated my 5 year old into being a Gooner - feels great,best club in the f******* world.

Nothing like a Scotsman leading at the trenches. I worked as a driver few years back and picked up George graham. As a Liverpool fan, I explained that night to him and he couldn't believe it lol. I asked him about smiths goal and he said it was a definite goal. I told him I was just a kid watching it on itv and after the 1st goal, there was a massive power cut in my area so I missed the ending and thought that we won it until my schoolmate called me up and told me different. I told George maybe it was a good omen having the power cut to not experience that level of heartache as a kid. He was lovely and let me have a couple of pictures with him. This story what arsenal did was just biblical. Dalglish always said arsenal were everyones 2nd team. Football back then was better. The emotions were just so real. Miss growing up...❤

I remember 6 of us starting drinking in our local at 4pm, then onto our mates house to watch the match, we absolutely trashed his front room, before going back to the pub for last orders, his misses kicked him out for a couple of days after and we all chipped in to get it redecorated ! @johnrockyryan It wasn't easy to qualify for it, never mind win it back then, hence why either truly exceptionally great or lucky teams won it back then. George couldn't quite cut it when the chance came and they went into a tailspin after - FA Cup V Wrexham being an example. Team under George never really hit the great heights again after that. As for experience AC Milan won it in 1989 with no experience in Europe and Nottingham Forrest 1979, Aston Villa 1982 were same.

Horrible experience for us obviously. I remember feeling so guilty that I was so upset afterwards given what had happened at Hillsborough. I was 18 and wept like a child for about an hour. It just felt so cruel. I felt so selfish at being upset over a dumb game of football when we had lost so many people. I still feel that way now watching this, so many conflicting emotions. Football can be funny that way, being the most important of the unimportant things. Arsenal were a good side though and deserved champs.

Went out to watch a band called the brilliant corners at the boardwalk in Manchester because I jut didn’t want to watch the scousers win the league. About 10:15 I asked a bouncer the score. He held up his fingers to show 2 -0. He smiled and just said Arsenal. I jumped on the guy and we celebrated as if United had won the league. Watching it since and this only 40 days after Hillsborough I can’t believe football was played at all. Given all that had happened Both clubs conducted themselves with complete dignity and humility only Aldridge embarrassed himself.

I'm a Palace fan, but Arsenal are my second team, so that season, l went to see the Gunners play Millwall, Forest, and Charlton at home, and Southampton and Millwall away. So, saw no home wins, but 100% away. That sums up that season.

It's clear that Mikel Arteta is much more of a successor to George Graham than Wenger. It's amazing how similar their journeys as coaches are: both former players and bringing in new young talent to lead the club forward from a period of bad performances to winning again, both came with little to no experience prior to Arsenal, both revamped the squad by getting rid of overpaid old timers. I hope with Mikel we can achieve as much or even more. Thanks for posting this amazing doc. EDIT: OMG we were set piece FC then too. It's amazing

What a great documentary especially dedicating to David Rocastle, such a class club👏 I'm arsenal through and through, I have never witnessed arsenal lift the Premier league trophy when that day reaches I will cry, too much love for this club. COYG❤
