6:00 That slow charging speed was likely due to the "Signet Surge". The charger never switched over to >500 volt output because those units have issues with high voltage EVs like Lucid, E-GMP, and Hummer EV. So that's probably why you were unfortunately stuck at 145 kW max speed. If it went to high voltage output around 800+ volts, you'd get wildly fluctuating and unstable power.

On those hour long charge stops, what do you do to pass the time? I have a reservation for the r1t and the charge stops concern me

Cook a meal or grab a bite to eat, grocery shop, explore. Just plan ahead to make good use of time. Then sometimes you’re surprised by a fun extra when you get off the beaten path like being able to explore a festival like we did on this trip!

Thanks for the videos and sharing your experiences with the CCS network. It would be too easy to do this with the Tesla Supercharger network and would make for boring content. Btw from the interior clips, the ride looks kind of rough in the Hummer EV.

Already barely chugging along in the right lane with tractor trailers passing you like you are tied to a post and add an additional 1 hour 15 minutes while having to unhook and hook the trailer up multiple times -- I am still trying to figure out the purpose of wanting to travel like this.

@@larryfinley9221 Cheap? Check out the price of one of those in comparison to a gas engine truck, you can get your truck, camper and a boat for under that and have money to fill all of their gas tanks for years to come before you even crack the msrp lol

Yall seem happy. But this looks like a horrible way to travel. Practically doubling drive times or longer. And your going so slow. Just seems so impractical. Keep ice forever.

The Infrastructure is real bad right now and we understand we are some of the first to tow with it so it makes things tougher. It'll get better but like anything there will be pros and cons. Thanks

It’s similar to the sailboat vs powerboat argument. The EV mode of travel is the destination.
