I remember that the first Pokémon I wanted to shiny hunt in the dlc was a Jangmo-o, and used a sandwich for it. I found not one, not two, but THREE within one sandwich, and now I consider them a family.

Lycanroc was actually one of the few Pokémon that would spawn both forms in outbreaks; it just depended on the time of day, and location for Dusk form. Same thing occurred with Deerling/Sawsbuck outbreaks. Also certain Pokémon with different “forms” can spawn in isolated outbreaks, like an outbreak of entirely Own Tempo Rockruff, but this is not the case for Dunsprce or Tandemaus outbreaks

I found it harder here due to me trying to memorize the entire land and spawns. I really wanted the Leavanny line and Cramorant. That orange bird costed me two sandwiches! But I got it along with two shiny Yanma, shiny Bombedier, & shiny Gligar show that was a win. Currently hunting on an outbreak shiny polchageist, used a GHOST sandwich and got shiny Heracross & Shiny Spinarak 😅

12:31 - I still don't have the shiny charm. However, while it was night and I was quick balling a ton of Poltchageists to get some Artisan forms, a shiny Phantump just ran into me. I literally couldn't see it at all in the lighting. And then with the Clefairy outbreak, I got the marked one and was carching or killing the rest, and a shiny Clefairy jump scared me.

Addendum to shiny Koffing If your damp, taunting Golduck has an ability shield, its ability will NOT be neutralised Alternatively, run Drifblim with Memento, Explosion and Imprison Or you can just chuck a master ball at it, that works too

I can attest to getting 3 random shinies while playing Teal Mask, only shiny charm. For me, it was a Poocheyena, 10 minutes into the DLC, a Rockruff, and an Impdimp in the area right after the Rockruff.

For momento if you use gholdengo its ability prevents the move from working, very useful while shiny hunting

The way outbreaks spawn is it picks a tile then picks pokemon on the list depending on what sandwhich you have and where you're standing. As Feebas can only spawn on one tile it is the rarest outbreak.

Nah, Feebas is very specifically just an outbreak that barely exists at all in the game. Took me 48 hours to find mine, it was... Brutal. And then I spent a full day after that going for a [very specific shiny], because if it's going to make me suffer finding, I am GOING to get what I want out of it.

i'm late, but fun fact! feebas outbreaks spawn a ton of feebas in the ceiling so it's very likely you failed a couple shinies. when they spawn in the ceiling, you cannot encounter them

Serebii is mostly right about outbreak spawning, however, Serebii says Dolliv, Arctibax, Flapple, Appletun, and Hakamo-o have outbreaks and I haven’t seen a single one I’ve been hunting for a Dolliv outbreak on and off since the game came out and couldn’t find proof other than the fact there are wild Dolliv spawns. Serebii also is not 100% and had stated that the likes of Farigiraf, Glimmora, and Dudunsparce had Paldea outbreaks when they were locked to Area Zero spawns.

When this dlc was revealed, I expected that there were lots of new Pokemon based on Japanese folklore like yokai or kaguya hime and more and returning pokemon from generations 1-4 from the ones that didn’t appear in the main game (by that I was meaning pokemon from generations 1-4 only due to the fact that kitakami is close to kanto, johto and sinnoh But the actual teal mask only introduced seven new Pokémon following such description and yes, Pokemon from generations 1-4 only, just like before and some Pokémon from the main game to try to fill the empty spaces that the Pokémon that was based on Japanese culture and folklore that never came have left A nice chance for shiny hunting good variety (although if dozens of brand new pokemon based on Japanese culture and folklore did get introduced, I would imagine how their shinies would be like)

You dont need to keep messing with the system clock when reseting outbreaks. If you saved the day before then all you have to do is close the game without saving and the out breaks will change when you load back in

Try using gengar as a shiny hunting Pokémon. Explosion will not go off because it’s a normal move and you can always put things to sleep with him as well!!!
