Some similarities with the uk procedure I see- I wonder what the handsignals were for? I couldn’t see any additional members of staff on the platform but I could be wrong

From memory there wasn’t anyone else on the platform; there might have been another travelling member of staff at the other end of the train that the conductor signalled to. The second signal was to the driver to start the train (no interlock I believe) instead of 2 on the bell/buzzer or a flag.

Hi, I'll explain, there are usually 2 train managers on the train one called CST, when you arrive at the stop all 2 get off and make a signal either with the torch or with the hand before closing the doors the CST gets on board and then the train manager closes the doors.
