I hopped trains briefly from Lexington KY to Louisville KY while homeless for 3 years with my dog. Dogs areso important when you're struggling. My dog saved meso many times. I met so many beautiful souls. I really miss the freedom but I don't miss the constant struggles. I got sober, got my mental health straight and my dog and I have a house now. I have a car, a job, I get my son on the weekends. I am so blessed. So many of my friends never got that chance.

@BikerGirlFrawg Жыл бұрын
@@the_cheap_ones And.... What does that have to do with my comment? But allow me to respond anyway. IF she did kill someone, then that's something she will have to carry with her and look over her shoulder for repercussions for whatever remains of her life. I am not a judge, detective, nor police officer, therefore it's not for me to judge. The one thing a person learns if they live in this lifestyle long enough is this: Only judge a person by the way they treat You. And if you believe in a Higher Power, that's where the power of judgement lies. Me personally, I'd rather be friends with an honest murderer than a judgemental, self-righteous person. Ye without sin, cast the first stone is an adequate representation of the lessons I learned from my life. I find it cute and innocent when someone is judging. It means they never had to wear the shoes of the person they are condemning and innocence is beautiful. Just like a child believing in Santa Claus...sweet...

@@Trickmyster777 @blacksun2942 I'm not sure why they do because being a young hottie is the hardest thing in the world to be. At least it was for me ;) You value yourself based on that. You feel like once that one attribute is no longer there you're a disposable human (not only in other's eyes but your own too - which is sad) comments like yours puts that fear into them. I am here to reassure them that life goes on beyond your late teens and early twenties and in fact you can live a richer life (both monetarily and spiritually) from the wisdom you gain from life experience. It’s a terrible saying to live by. I grew up in an abusive home and had the same attitude. Life is so much happier when you choose to try to find good people to trust, and when you give people a chance. It’s hard to open yourself up to being hurt but you can’t live your whole life trusting no one. My story is remarkably similar to hers. She can get out of it, but it’ll be easier with help. There ARE trustworthy people in this world.

So I think the rawness of this shock some people but as an old dirty kid that's retired from train hopping I relate to everything she saying! A lot of people from really trouble past wind up on the rails, but that's what they need in their life to figure themselves out! Unfortunately a lot of dirty kids die before they get off the roads and God knows over the years I've lost hundreds of friends to everything from being beaten to death to heroin overdoses to getting hit by Freight trains! But if you're determined to make it not only will you make it you will learn everything you need in life being out there! At almost 50 years old I am so grateful for my 9 years hopping Freight, had I not done that with my life I never would have figured it out! I now have a wonderful life I run a small business my husband who rode for all those years with me builds and creates and Gardens! We grow cannabis in a legal State and have quiet little lives! But we had to go through what we went through out there on the street to get to the place of healing that we have gotten to today! I think that's something that people don't realize and yes the drugs and the violence and the insanity is all part of it! I don't know if that makes any sense but I couldn't be who I am today had I not done what I did then and although I will never stop trying to be a better human being and I will never stop trying to work on myself I definitely wouldn't be half of who I am today without every single day of that 9 years spent out there

For some people having a kid is the switch they need to get their lives under control and find meaning, not saying it’s the answer or that u should go out of ur way to have a kid but my point is without meaning or purpose in life all u do is just drift around aimlessly …. Especially about not remembering stuff and dates from abusing substances from an early age. Again you can see she is so strong and so smart. One thing I want to say is , these people you interview seem so clever and smart compared to most people over here in the UK. Even tho she is homeless she has nice clean white teeth , and a fresh face apart from a bit of mud on her knee, but she looks like she keeps care of herself. It would be interesting if you could interview someone from the UK. I just feel most Americans come across so much better and smarter and I don't mean that in a bad way. I just feel if you interviewed some English people it would be different. Good luck to this girl she is wonderful.

I've seen so many of these videos but this one hit me really hard for some reason. I see a lot of myself in that girl and I always dreamed of the train hopping lifestyle just being completely free being able to leave or run at the drop of a hat and just go where the wind blows you. I have a kid now and I'm tied down to my life. Sometimes I dream of just wandering off though I would never do that to my child, and I know it's hard but just that thought of pure and total freedom really calls me sometimes. You can go anywhere and you can be anyone.

Wow. My biggest concern is not having a warm bed, a shower, clean water, and a bathroom. When it rains and thunders, I feel so bad for the homeless. The thought of being wet and uncomfortable. Ugh. I can't imagine just train hoping. I need security. I feel anxious when I'm out with my friends for too long. I just need my bedroom

Trouble in the valley it's not real freedom, it's dangerous and she will get old and tired fast. She's traumatised and running to try find peace, but won't find it. I hope she finds Jesus and finds her true purpose. I used to be like her and I got burned bad, by the grace of God I'm still here

@@LuckyCharms23 well if that's your biggest concern be grateful, you are very lucky. I'm not glamorizing her life or anything and I completely understand that there's a lot of hardships that go with it and a lot of dangers. I guess I'm just wishing for something I can never have
