'Park Sodam' of 'the Black Priests' and 'Kim Hwan-hee' of 'Gokseong' won the award at major film festivals. At other film festivals, this girl was not awarded. In that year, there were a lot of outstanding movies and actors. There were no other winners for the movie 'Train to Busan' actors except 'Kim Eui-sung', who was a villain.

If you watch the two movies in the comments above, you'll understand. The child actors in the other films were also really crazy. No matter who wins the award, it is understandable.

True. They all deserve an Award for this. It's a movie where even if you don't read subtitles, you'll still understand the situations, their conversations. It's because of the actors/actresses's great potrayal of their roles. Still, the little girl won 2 other awards in this movie tho.. And that was also a great achievement for her talent ❤️ Proud that this one of my favorite horror movies got so much popularity and praised around the world tho. Deserve!

That's what happens when all of the characters are turning, if you look close. Even the businessman. He has a flashback to being a small child, that's when he says he's lost and wants his mother. SUPER out of character for him, but as a FLASHBACK it makes sense - and frankly makes me pity him. Before he changed, he was a scared child. Before Seok-woo fully changed, he had a joyous memory.

I hope not only me appreciated the heroism of the Homeless guy not just once, but twice. First, when he covered a cloth to the zombie's head who's attacking Gong Yoo's character, second when he sacrificed his life for the pregnant woman and the little girl. :(( One of my favorite characters in this masterpiece. They all deserve an Award for this ❤️

It was interesting seeing you go on the same journey that a lot of people take while watching this film: Western zombie movies have us really conditioned to approach them with an "every man for himself" mentality. At the beginning of Train to Busan we empathize with the main character's more jaded, selfish approach to survival, because we see that as the only way to "win" in a zombie apocalypse. Train to Busan forces us to confront that, see why it's fucked up, and by the end, we're cheering for the selfish, backstabbing dude to get his, and hurting deeply for the heroes while appreciating their sacrifice... Train to Busan is a ride in every sense of the word, man. I definitely get why you felt so rocked by the end of it.

@Your unfriendly Neighborhood Demon - The group dynamics are generally the same, but the framing is different. The folks with empathy are framed as noble (sometimes), but ultimately suckers in the sense that their actions leave audiences saying "Well its sad, but they shouldn't have done xyz." Attempts to protect others often lead to terrible consequences, and often that person ends up dead anyway. Walking Dead is most notable for doing this, but the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead also does it, the first Resident Evil movie (haven't seen the others), Night of the Living Dead, Quarantine, and most recently, The Girl with all the Gifts. All of that said, I don't mean to imply that any of the above zombie media are *bad,* or even that Train to Busan's concept was novel. It was just an excellent zombie film that did the more humanitarian message very well. Better, arguably, than most other films that have tried it.

Love to see good male reactors that aren't afraid to actually show emotion to great films like this. So many that try to make jokes or constantly talk through touching scenes to avoid feeling or showing emotion. But seeing other people react the way we did to these scenes is what reaction content is all about. And it makes the reaction feel so disconnected when someone is watching a scene that had you bawling and is cracking jokes. Great video mate, happy to subscribe to get more great content like this!

as a dad who works in an isolated camp for two weeks at a time, this film hit home. Especially when the girl would cry for him not to go, and the flashbacks he had when his baby was first born, I was bawling on the bus ride home. This movie is intense, emotional, and has great character arch's. The little girl in here, just as Newt was in the movie Aliens, was totally believable and really deserves recognition for their roles and how they played them out.

@juuberries
@juuberries 2 жыл бұрын
i really think the bite and the person's will affects the way they turn. like the husband was able to hold people off while turning because he was grasping onto his remaining consciousness, bidding everyone time to get into safety. same thing with the villain, he's obviously turned for a couple of minutes but was still able to talk because he's holding onto the idea of coming home to his mother. which is why it also took long for the male lead to turn into a zombie, willing himself to place his daughter to safety, and all those memories of his kid was what held him to humanity much longer.

This film was a KZbin recommendation, which I clicked on out of curiosity. I HATE Zombie movies, but I was hooked when the deer got back up. What followed was a roller coaster ride of emotions from Fear to Dread to Anger to Sorrow. I've seen South Korean films before, and this was as great as "Memories of Murder." Kudos to the writer, director, actors, and especially the stunt performers for creating a modern action classic. Hollyweird is thinking of a re-make, but South Korean film makers are eating their lunch with great productions like "Train to Busan."

The zombie's movements look disconnected like that because the director requested the zombie actors to be dancers that specialized is popping and bone breaking. The only edited zombies are the ones that helicopter ones and during the big mob pile ups because doing that practically could get someone crushed.
