Yes, she had no idea that that would work - but it did, so it was a good suggestion. They should have kept that newspaper and did the same thing to the doors and windows of every car they found themselves in to buy them time. I think the cleverest idea was - knowing that these things BITE - wrapping your limbs in leather and tape or paper - something so you couldn't easily be bitten. Especially since the two weakest people there - pregnant lady and little girl - had more skin exposed than almost everybody else. That they even survived is an absolute miracle - everything had to fall in their favor. They were the slowest runners and also the two who always ended up on the most compromising positions.

the song the kid sings is even used perfectly if you think about it, lot of people forget that "Aloha 'Oe" was written by the last queen of Hawaii. Its a song about someone you love going away, remembering them fondly while missing them and hoping to see them again someday. (It was sung as a farewell to hawaii when the kingdom was overthrown and annexed, and is still used as an important cultural song and protest song in hawaii to this day)
@exyuda6592

Oooohh. Wow, I had no idea the cultural significance of the song. In the last scene, I recognised the lyrics from Lilo and Stitch, when Nani is singing to Lilo when she's scared about losing her. this cast is insane too, Eric's "blue guy" it's Ma Dong-seok, also known as Don Lee. He is playing Gilgamesh in the new Marvel movie Enternals. The main guy, his name is Gong Yoo, he has done alot of stuff, but you might have noticed him from Squid game. He is the one who is recruiting people for the games, playing the Ddak-ji (paper flipping game) and giving them the cards. The younger guy, the baseball player his name is Choi Woo-shik, he is the son in Parasite. Which judging from the other comments you haven't seen yet, but it's very recomended.

I love that almost every pivotal moment for the main character's transformation happens or is summarised with a discussion with his daughter. The conversation with her on the bed showing us how broken their relationship was, the moment she tells him he's a selfish human being, the sit down after he saves her, and finally the last moment where he tells her to let him go. His daughter has been the major compass and guiding light for his humanity among the darkness. Just a masterclass in showing growth in a character and relationship within a story. Absolutely amazing!

LOL in his defense, it wasn't pitch black, so if the main characters were able to maneuver in the dark, then the infected should be able to as well. They probably can't make out shapes and forms in the dark, and so they just kinda hang about paralyzed until their other senses are triggered.

@@Rakerong I think that the baseball players get dazed by the lights. If they react to movement and sound then bright lights flashing by will draw your attention more than a shadowy figure you are holding. I don't think they have any object permanence. They probably just run on a loop of: Can I see or hear something? If yes, does it look human? If yes, bite it now! They just run this constantly, even during a fight. So if suddenly you cannot see something that looks human, you are more interested in the the things that you can see that are moving so they lose interest.

The grandma was actually saying 'you rotten bastards' to the zombies around her, it was a really bad translation job where the flow of the conversation right before was about her daughter-in-law & Su-an so naturally viewers will most likely think that...grandma WAS NOT referring to either one as 'bitch', she remained a caring, warm person to the very end!!

It amazes me how a movie that was globally acclaimed 3-4 years ago (and still is to this day), is just being reacted to by content creators from USA. I've seen more and more youtube channels this past few weeks reacting to the movie and I'm really glad...I hope this opens the door for less Hollywood adaptations and the acceptance of source material, diverse content and most of all a more equal distribution of media globally.

I finally watched this film a few days ago and I absolutely LOVED it. In general I am not a zombie movie fan. They just don't interest me. Kingdom on Netflix and Train to Busan are the ONLY productions about zombies I fan girl over. This film stressed me the eff out and had me crying more times than should be allowed. Korean shows/movies keep proving how badass they are. I cared about the people in this movie, hardcore, and the little girl definitely deserved awards for her performance. She broke my heart with her character. And of course, Gong Yoo and Don Lee were PHENOMENAL. I could watch this over and over again. The end.

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, my favorite zombie movie. The cinematography, the editing, the SFX, THE ACTING. The underlying message is both heartbreaking and heartwarming, the reality of the situation is soberingly honest. I was absolutely awestruck the first time I saw this. I'm a seasoned scare actor at a Halloween attraction during October (I'm usually a zombie lol) and these actors are incredibly talented and have a VERY firm grasp of what makes these monsters scary. Anyone who's watching this video and hasn't seen the movie yet, I can't recommend it enough.

The acting is excellent and well worth watching. You guys won't regret it. There are other versions as well. The Turkish version has a twist at the end, but I still think the original (Korean version) is still the best imo ❤️❤️❤️

I have a theory about why they can't see in the dark, or the when the line of sight is broken, their eyes seem to be a milky color like a person with bad cataracts. One of the things that happened when someone gets cataracts, is they lose their night vision. Some blind people sti have some sort of sight, usually shadows, which is helped by light hitting an object.
