Confidence is always a big part of football
@TrainEffective5 ай бұрын
No matter how good you are, you will not succeed without confidence! Don't neglect the mental part of your game 🤝
@SweetFeetSHIPP5 ай бұрын
I agree. However, it's hard to teach our youth confidence because it sometimes translates to cockiness towards the ego. I personally believe coaches and parents alike need to stop putting pressure on these kids to be "the next big thing" in football; let them play freely and creatively. We often forget that football is a collective sport, not an individual one. Learn to play for each other, not for yourself. Very good lesson btw 🙏

cant even lie this guy is very well spoken, every word was point on. Imo i have very good dribbling skills getting past 4 deffenders who are 5-6 years older then me with ease yet once i start stressing over lossing ball twice or even 3 times on there good deffending or me making wrong decission it all comes down and i start to hide from the ball but still somehow in a game almost every attack i get the ball (not supprissing considering im a winger) but it starts to feel like a chore after i make a bad pass or lose 1v1 for even 4times in a row.

Ahh yes.. right. Well it’s all about the NEXT. So as that winger, you keep thinking about the NEXT opportunity. Don’t worry about anything else!

My 11 year old son does that. He has a bad touch and his confidence goes down, he doesn’t ask for the ball. On the flip side, if he has a great first touch and things go his way, he’s unstoppable. The beautiful game is more mental than it is physical sometimes. Great video. Lots of good lessons here. Thank you!
@thehonestfootballcoach4 ай бұрын
Yes… well that’s where your son needs to refocus and shift the focus onto the NEXT. Nothing else. If the first action was positive or negative, it doesn’t matter. The NEXT…👊🏼👏🏼

Some times i wish i was born in the UK, in Nigeria its really difficult to get these level of mental training, they only care about win now and get the prizes, going as far as recruiting outsiders to compete in tournaments and tgat really killed my confidence honestly, i recently starting to go back to kicking about after nor kicking a ball since 2019

as a teen there's something adults don't understand some coaches will take a player out and barley play them to them being free willed and trying something new and if they mess up coaches will not play them so they stick to fixed mind sets and stay within the box and play only how the coach wants them too so that's something you can make a detailed video for coaches to understand.

i notcied this when i was playing for my varsity team, at first i didn't care because i didn't even think i would get playing time so i didn't put pressure on myself and had solid and consistent, then when i got playing time i put to much pressure on myself and had bad games, if u just don't care and play the way you play you will have a better game then if you are worried about what your coach or the people watching think

Thank you for this video, my talent isn’t like others and shows that I’m different in a bad way. Though to me I always I use the strengths that I know (which is my speed) to get pass players. My tryout for my high school team is approaching very soon and my friend told me that it should be around 200+ kids showing up. I thought I was done for and knew I couldn’t even become a sub. But after watching this video now I know to always turn my mistakes into better plays to improve myself on the pitch. Again,thank you for this reminder ❤.

That reset only works if u set your intention to be the best version of yourself in the next segment, the reset starting the segment. Also u cannot drag your entire past into it. Do u know how much gutter that brings. It's all happening now, am i in the zone now? No? Then get in the zone. That's all there is kids, an eternal now and what am I bringing into it, forget about time, illusion. Now is the result of the past and the past is only relevant if you drag it along, now creates the future if u drag the past into it u will repeat it and your progress stagnates, only tag alone things that make u feel good, don't dwell on mistakes that leads u nowhere, only if u let them go' focus on what's, feel gd, feel awesome, then when u look at them u will be clearminded and move on, let go of the things that don't please u and focus on the good, use your imagination. "I am improvising" Lionel Messi.

Yh Messi loses the ball alot like Neymar and the others, that's just not true, he rarely ever loses the ball, that's peppered in by Cruyff and later Pep "you can dribble but it has to be perfect and don't lose the ball". U know their playstyle is susceptible to counter attacks, please don't spread lies over the internet.
@night6364Ай бұрын
If you watch full games of neymar and messi and not just their highlights you will see that they lose the ball a lot.They just don't let it get into them and then they go again until they eventually get past the defender and create chances
