I ended up on this vlog by accident, I enjoy most things technical. Bit of a juxtaposition, an LNER Azuma sat at a platform, a Grand Central Adelante passing on the though line (southbound? I hope my terminology is correct, please forgive if incorrect}. Then the screech and rattling of a good old Pacer. I am no puffer nutter but it made me chuckle.

how many platforms as this station got ? as I dont understand the numbering as its showing 8 but platform numbers seem weird as one platform says 4 then 6

I know people dont like pacers..they are the Black Cab of rail....I do,once gone everyone will say they miss em....many a day trip on one as a kid... wasnt 91107 ex GWR ? still here in Cardiff they aint finished the electrification,look forward to seeing the 1st GWR 800 using the Panto...

A pacer was the first train I have ever been on. Where I live our station always gets a 142 or 144 pacer, but when they are gone, we will probably get sprinters.

No, 4 have gone to worksop for storage

Apparently some 225`s are going to be kept running,tho cant recall for whom.. im sure some of the preservation groups will aquire some...they wont die off.,they are part of our rail heritage now,and cannot be forgotten ,like the HST.

I’m off to Doncaster on holiday end off month and can’t wait to dotrain spotting as well want platform it’s best spotting the trains

Doncaster still seems to be dominated by diesel trains - it shows how short-sighted the ECML electrification project was in only connecting London to Edinburgh with a spur to Leeds/Wakefield.
