I have the 3 boards (original, rising sun & the Germany/USA map) in the original box with all the cards. The lid doesn't sit flat down, but it's not too bad.

The new 2 player boards are great. The route bonus cards make the game feel like a proper train game, but one person in my group took awhile to get used to having more interaction on the board. I think the cards from the original game are more well rounded and offer a better deck building experience. The new rising sun cards are very welcome, but I didn't like it as a stand-alone game.

Appreciate that this comment is 9 years old, but why didn't you like Rising Sun as a stand-alone game?

One note on rules: When you lay rails into a space with any number of other players' tokens, you only get one extra waste card.

Shouldn't this have been "Judgement - Into My Collection," since it sounded like you are going to combine it with your copy of Trains.

That's what I'll end up doing when I have 4 or 5 boards, but with 3 they fit okay with the board lid floating up above the base a bit.
