Being a repeat spell automatically gives it a reason to exist, and assured targets are also a plus. It's basically a spell to facilitate the effects of other spell, and a lot of time not even because it's actually cold changing effect. 😅

1. You forgot the best deck to mention for this type of card a "Momir Vig, Simic Visionary" elfball deck to contiuesly tutor up and draw any elf that you want. But nonetheless I like the include of Color hosers. 2. Can you maybe take a look at my favorite card that is just short of being playable "Hedron Alignment"? Would love to see your take on it. 3. Another great video love the channel this far!

You're right, I totally forgot about Momir Vig! That's a great fit. I'll add Hedron Alignment to the list... That's definitely a tough one.

3:20 aw man I was really hoping to see Gloom among these. Also, 5:27 Horobi Death's Wail would be great among these I think! I guess cipher wouldn't work well with it though.

I'm glad to see Eight-and-a-Half-Tails mentioned. It was one of the first commander decks I've built, and I run it as a stax/mist hybrid and color control with Approach of the Second Sun as wincon.

I made an Eight-and-a-Half Tails stax pillowfort deck. My wincon was (usually) my opponents conceding in disgust. I tore it down shortly after.

This video looks really professional. Good job How about "word of command" which has its own timing restrictions and often make it unusable unless they instantly try to go to combat

I think this card would be better without Cipher myself. Editing cards was such a promising idea in early magic that got abandoned way too thoroughly. I want a set where all the blue cards do card editing just to see what the design team can do with it.

Trait doctoring could be useful with Gem of Becoming if you are running a 3+ colour deck that has 2 out of 3 colours of grixis

You forgot the card prices! Trait doctoring is $0.22. Cipher itself is a busted mechanic, which is why every single card with cipher is a sorcery and clearly over costed for its effect. Another thing you can do with the instant speed color word changing effects is you can exile them with isochron scepter, which makes the repeatability way more consistent. Not all of the commanders you mention work super well with Trait Doctoring because you do have to connect with a creature for the free value, but there's still a lot of great synergies.
