The wife and I drove 10 hours to see this show. She knew Sting was my all-time favorite wrestler since I was 8 years old in ‘97. I never got the chance to see him live so we made the trip. The best AEW shows I’ve ever seen, if not the best. Finally being able to see The Icon live and of all shows to see him.. it was surreal. We were 3rd row facing the hard cam. So anytime we rewatch the show we will be seeing ourselves.

The bucks are EVP s. Had they won people wouldn't mind bc it's a retirement match. They could even pull the EVP card and win the match... But they didn't. They wanted to lose and go against the old school train of thought (lose the retirement match) just so Sting could have the retirement match he deserved. Mad respect to them for that

I was at this show (Section VV, we had ourselves a ball) with my dad, who watches AEW now and then, is an avid WWE fan, moreso only because of his loyalty to the old territory days. He came away from this show and said to me, "that was a damn good show." Allow me to be so blunt, that was the greatest fucking crowd ive ever been in. Emotional bias aside, as this was the first show i went to with my dad since i was a small child and we both are major fans of Sting, I can't tell you how many times we started up chants, reacted to little things, just had a damn good time. And when they tell you the place was packed, BELIEVE IT. I could see maybe 10 seats AT MOST that didn't have someone sitting on them. Everyone in the city showed up, from diehards around my age to the old jim crockett fans to the kids who just became lifetime fans of pro wrestling off of one show. Oh, and the MEAT chant might've been one of the 5 loudest moments in the show. The matches were fantastic, the crowd was white hot, being there was a highlight to itself, everything about the show was as perfect as you could ask for. If someone were to tell me its the greatest of all time, I wouldn't argue it; its easily my favorite show of all time.

If Sting’s kids want to wrestle they have a spot ready for them in AEW. I had the chance to see Sting and Darby wrestle in Portland and even though it was a squash match I made the best out of it because it was one of the last times i’d get to see him step into a ring. WCW was before my time so I didn’t get to see Sting back then and unfortunately I had to sit through his WWE run which I wish I could forget. I remember when Sting came to AEW and the crowd reaction he got. Honestly an AEW run wasn’t something I expected but I’m glad it happened. Shoutout to Tony Khan for giving him a proper retirement and sendoff.

You hinted at it in here, but the fact this was such an incredible show despite lacking so many big stars due to injury is wild. No Kenny Omega, no MJF, no Adam Cole, no Adam Copeland, and no Jamie Hayter, who incidentally I think will be the one to get the classic match out of Timeless Toni Storm. There's more I'm probably missing, but even so. This was the show that not only gave Sting the perfect send-off for a legendary career, but re-established AEW and everything the company set out to be when they first started. It finally felt like the spectre of CM Punk thats been hanging over the company since September last year has mostly gone now. Rumours of the company's demise were always greatly exaggerated, but this felt like the show where AEW stopped being on the back foot, and re-established their own identity. No more playing catch-up or being in the shadow of WWE, because AEW was never supposed to be a copy or replacement for WWE - they were supposed to be the *alternative*. Their own company with their own identity. They found that identity again, and I am SO excited. EDIT: I typed this comment before your end section, and...you've basically said everything I said here xD couldn't agree more though.

I agree with you, it's really impressive that they had a show so great with so many injuries. MJF/Cole was supposed to be the big blood feud of the year for example and they're both injured. And yes, you're right, the women's division really needs Jamie Hayter back. She was the total package the women's division searched from day one.

This was one of the most entertaining events I've ever seen live. AEW live events still need polish getting in and their merchandise situation. And we still need to adjust the order of the matches. More ladies need featured. And it still could be a little shorter with a bit of room to breathe and hit the bathroom. All in all. It was a win for aew, the city and wrestling fans everywhere.

Let's be honest. We all knew Ospreay v. Takeshita would be MotN. These two men delivered and I wasn't disappointed. And credit to AEW for letting Sting retire as a champ and to share this moment with his two sons dressed as Surfer Sting and Wolfpac Sting. Still didn't like seeing Darby taking that brutal dive spot with the glass. His back looked like something you would see Darby look like covered in blood in AEW Fight Forever. Speaking of Fight Forever, this main event felt like The Young Bucks were wrestling Sting in Elite difficulty and it gave me wrestling Undertaker in WWE 2K14's Defeat the Streak vibes. With Big Bu$iness being just around the corner, Tony Khan has alot of work moving forward and I hope he can continue this momentum after the PPV.

The International title match is so overlooked in a few ways. Roddy has been brilliant for so long but for some reason, Roddy is rarely booked in programmes with the king of people he has always shone against; smaller guys that he can absolutely dominate. They told a great story (OC is amazing at doing that anyway), made Roddy look unstoppable and still took nothing away from his opponent. He was amazing at this in his early years and rarely got a chance to showcase that since. He'll be an awesome champion and his many squash matches will make so much sense.

I read earlier today that Sting had wanted to put the Bucks over in this match, because he holds them in such high regard. To which Tony Khan and the Bucks apparently said "The *fuck* you will. You're Sting. You're winning this."

Great job on the video! Seriously what an amazing PPV. You're still the only wrestling channel I watch lol. I can tell you genuinely enjoy making videos. Also I love being part of your community when you stream. Legit one of the chillest wrestling communities I've been a part of. Keep up the great work man

I've never seen a send off like this in the Wrestling Business, I've heard of other Great Wrestlers having their "Final" send off but I felt Sting's send off to my core. I only wish that I was there but I watched the PPV and am proud of AEW and for Sting to go out this way.

As an AEW fan I don't often see positivity regarding it. All I'm shown is complaining so this was nice to see.

One thing you can always count on is for AEW pay per views to be awesome. Even the weaker ones are still 7.5s and have great moments. What a fun ride it’s been, and thank you Sting. Didn’t watch WCW during his time. Couldn’t watch wrasslin until 5th grade (mania 21) so I always heard of Sting. Finally getting to see him when he joined TNA was awesome. That was when I was in 6th grade. Crazy to think I’m 30 now. Instantly one of my favorites when he came out.

Great ppv. I could imagine alot of non AEW fans watching this just for Sting but maybe becoming fans after seeing the other matches. Prop to Tony who gets too much slander in the news

This is the first AEW ppv I had to miss due to finances. (Fricken Brandon!!) Anywhoo happy to hear it went so well. I became a Sting fan back in the late 90s during the monday night wars.

My favorite part of the triple threat was Swerves “Roddy piper” style face turn. Being handed the crown of jewels, stopping for a moment to think, then deciding that’s not how I want to win anymore. As a bit of a wrestling nerd I was geeking out on that.

I was there, and that entire ppv from top to bottom were the best wrestling show ive ever seen. From Bryan and Eddie, to Ospreay introducing himself to the States, to Swerve getting "Swerved", to Stings Curtain Call...that show were something im proud to have attended.

I am so glad that I spent the money I did to go to this show. It exceeded my expectations very early on and it had everything you could want in a pro wrestling show. Sting is the man and I am so glad that I got to be in the building for his last match. I was at dynamite in Houston when he announced his retirement and I instantly knew I had to be there.
