I’m sorry about your hair getting affected this much. You should consider wearing a silk or satin durag or whatever under your wig to help as much as possible to keep your hair moist. Or at least frizz free because you're moving around so much that there's probably so much friction going on under your wig, assuming you’re still having to wear it... Looking beautiful as always darling!

Needed this so much at the moment, my hair has become very dry and brittle as well especially on the top layer of my curls. Can't wait to try this out 💜

I used to use bounce curl gel 2 years ago but always left my hair with a dirty sticky feeling. I now use the curly girl movement gel you mentioned and love that much better for me 💖

I was going to give up on my curls, but then my hairdresser said my top layer of hair was weighed down and only curly underneath cause it’s shorter, she said it’s just trial and error and now I am more enthusiastic 😁

I just watched your fifth video, “straightening curly hair” and you were soooo funny and cute! I had to cringe a little bit when you were brushing and flat ironing! But it’s only once a year and you were so freaking adorable! What a difference 4 years makes! You thought you had long hair in that video! Look at you now! ♥️

Such a gorgeous girl, the holy spirit really shines through you. 💖 P.S. the shea moisture blue line is very strongly scented. It's so overwhelming if you're sensitive to perfume, I've had to give all of mine away.

I've been watching your videos for ages and I've finally decided to go on my curly hair journey. Years of straightening plus a diy bleach and dye of my hair has made it soooo bad. Just wondering if losing a lot of hair through breakage and showering is normal for the beginning process of a curly hair journey? I'm not too sure where to start with products as I'm scared it'll make my hair fall out :((
@79meh

I've zoomed in on your photo and I think you have the natural beauty it takes to pull off short curly hair. If your curls are chemically and heat damaged, you can really benefit from a big chop and start from scratch. You'll be amazed at how bouncy and receptive your curl pattern is on virgin hair. If you eat well and have a healthy weight, your hair should grow fast and healthy and not really fall out much. Just be strong and stay away from hair dye!

Thank you I think I am putting too much on my hair. I have really curly hair. It is fine also. But really dry. I am 71 and I am trying to learn how to do it. But all the ladies who are showing how to do natural curly hair are young ladies. I have never seen older women do it. I need help. Do you know of any older women like me showing others how to do it . I am also Caucasian
@79meh
@79meh 2 жыл бұрын
I don't know if that helps but I'm 43 and also "mostly" Caucasian and I have dry fine curls. I live in a dry climate, I don't know about you. I find the best for me is absolute minimal products. I wash with a natural 2in1 from John masters organics and comb gently in the shower, then I gently pat my hair dry upside down after coming out and I DON'T touch it again until it's air dried. Then I poof it up a bit with my fingers. You read that right... I don't even use mousse or gel anymore. Just a very small amount of oil (2 drops) on the ends. I have layers in, like a shag, which helps with volume and shape. Hope this helps.

I forgot to say, a great way to take out excess product residue without overwashing is to saturate the hair with a half-half vinegar and water solution before washing it. It breaks down all sorts of mineral buildup. I only do it once a month because I have really hard water at home. You won't believe the difference. And it's so cheap and natural!

Hi! I love your videos a lot and have been eager to transform my hair and wear it naturally! I wanted to ask a few questions because I'm very inexperienced and want to know how to properly look after my hair. Sorry, this is quite a long comment! I am 15 and live with my parents at the moment. My whole life, my mum has been doing my hair for me (as in shampooing and conditioning it for me) and after it's been washed she plaits it down while it's still wet, and the plaits are usually left in until my next wash day (usually 1 week) I'm not too sure if I'm just looking into it too much, but I feel like it just leave my hair flat without any defined curls, with the exception of my ends. It's like, forced waves, if that makes any sense. I think my hair type is similar to yours (3a/3b, dense, but I think I have medium porosity) but I don't actually know because I've never had it down without having it plaited for days on end. My mum won't let me. I've never styled my hair before because it just goes straight in plaits once I get out of the shower. I've been trying to tell my mum how I need to change up my hair routine because it's not what it best for my hair type, but she thinks I'm being disrespectful to "all the hard work" she puts into my hair, whilst simultaneously putting me down for being unable to take care of my hair by myself. I've spoken to her recently about it, and she agreed that I can try out a new hair routine over my week's holiday from school (week after next week). I want to try out the Shea Moisture lines, because it's affordable and very good quality from what I've heard. I have no idea what line I should get, though. I don't think I have much heat damage because I have only ever straightened my hair maybe once a year, from the age of about 11. My main issues are my hair looking dry, a dry scalp, no definition in my roots, flat-looking curls, and frizz. My hair actually looks quite similar to the "before" picture in the thumbnail of this video. I haven't watched the full video yet, so I'l make note of everything you say. Thanks a lot for all of your curly hair tutorials, you're absolutely gorgeous and so is your hair!

You look amazing. One question if you dont mind. I cant make decision between GHD helios and Dyson hairdryer.. Which one would you recommend after using them both for longer period?
@rdsntt6965
@rdsntt6965 Жыл бұрын
I change my question. Would you go back to Ghd hairdryer/diffuser? Was it damaging your hair or the only reason you’ve been using dyson for more than a year Now is because dyson dries hair quicker? Im a bit afraid of the dyson’s attachment. Normally thats not kind I would choose but rather the bigger one ghd has. Also Im hasitating because of the price difference as well.

PS try using a leave in conditioner first, then the creme, then a gel with tons of moisture. I hear Curlsmith Curl Defining Styling Soufflé from their moisture line is great for locking in moisture.

I am so scared of protein products bc i dont know if it works for my hair. In a video of manes By mell She Said of u Never colored/ Heat damaged etc and your hair is „virgin“ hair it doesnt like too much protein and that it might make it brittle when used too much. So I am confused Right now, but loved the video like always 🥰

My hair is 2C/3A, dyed blonde and so dry I cannot use my Denman brush on it at all. Not even small little strands. I can't brush my hair unless I rip through it which obviously isn't good. I am forced to do just that though prior to washing (as wet brushing is scary and does not work). Even with a leave in conditioner I can't brush my hair. I scrunch with curl cream and that's the look I have. Used Olaplex a couple times and hair became even more curly which is nice but the dryness is excessive. Is there a single product I need to give me some drastic results and take away this excessive dryness? I do use Argon oil occasionally and it does help but with softness my curls stretch out and disappear or go flat. I hate my hair most days.
