I have been suffering with trying to do the long layer look forever and I am done and going to chop my layers short on top! I don't know why we ever got away from this and am glad to see it coming back!

As soon as I saw this artist/stylist beautiful layers. I knew she'd do a beautiful cut. No ifs ands or buts. It's all in the hands ✋️. Absolutely beautiful 😍.My mom was a hair dresser back in the day. She cut my hair in gorgeous layers. The crown of my head was absolutely gorgeous Everything fell perfectly. Of course during that time period Farrah Fawcett was the most beautiful woman on the magazine. She was not only beautiful her hair was amazing 😍. Rest in peace Farrah 🙏

Sooo many women want these shorter layers on top and long length including me. I've been looking all my life for a stylist to do this. All of them have told me it's not possible...to have short layers you have to have shorter hair. Argh. Finally, I found you, Kimmie! YOU know how to do it. I'm going to show all the stylists who will hold still your videos. As a matter of fact, I could go to our local community college which has a cosmetology school, and show the head instructor so she can teach these poor girls how to do hair properly!

It’s true that many think you have to have shorter hair to have shorter layers because of the need to blend it all the way down. But it can be done as seen here. I’m a stylist and I remember cosmetology school teaching that old fashioned rule.

I would Love to book an appointment but I live in Texas, And I don't think there's a salon that has anyone who knows how to cut the 80 styles my hair is curly and I use to get a long gyspy shag cut ,Now they don't what that is😅 So I try to cut the top and I get my husband to cut back straight across in back, I tried to cut a cut but they a chunk out of top so I left😂 I Love the way you do hair, it's hard to find a great stylist❤

You are the best on KZbin for shaggy haircuts like this one, but the style is way too much work and time to do this way. If the cut is right, the exact Farrah Fawcett style can be achieved with a little product and about 20 minutes using a 1”-2” curling Iron with teeth to grab the layers. Wash, dry without styling, use product, curl starting at top, no need to section. Perfect, been doing it for years 🤗

For Farrah Fawcett hair you blow dry it, then just add curlers. Then remove them, turn head upside down, put hairspray in. Done. This is far too labour intensive and was not how we did it in the 70s.

Yes. We didn't have the big barrel curling irons used today. Blow dry and then big curlers. The Farrah and Jacqueline of the 70's preceeded the 80's big hair, obviously.
