O my Goodness Kimmy, I Love You!! This is how I eear my hair, but havent found a stylist that can cut the layers like this. I have a ton of hair that grows fast, so I've been cutting my own hair. All the back layers are grown out now, and its intimidating to cut the layers. I'm going to follow your technique. My haircut is very similar but has more of a shag texture. My hairdresser uses mouuse (and I do too) and lightly drys my hair upside down, I flip back up and finish on low. Great soft wavy curls!

Your hair and cut look lovely. I have tried many times at salons to ask for what you achieved at home in your bathroom. A layered, textured, over directed short layers for volume and end up with 2-3 inches cut off the ends and a shallow angle cut. So still have lots of hair like you had that I really wanted cut off. I am so not confident to cut myself. Great video.

Wow! Kimmy, you cut on angles like the 70s. I knew Gene Yuarez when he first started and he became very, very successful. Also had teaching Academy. He had great Expertise on angles cutting! @coach-kimmy AN, hope you have great day also .Lol ..you made it look so easy ..omg 😆.I'd be a disaster .I've got stage 4 lung cancer ..when I first got diagnosed, I cut about 10 in.off ..thinking it would fall out ,chemotherapy an immunotherapy..None fell out ..praise Jesus ..which I'm grateful to be alive ..Alot of the cancer cleared , it had metastasized to about 4 other places also.We have a Great God I'm on a chemo pill an it's continuing to clear the main mass in my lung an on my low spine is stable🙌🙏🙌

Even if you take all that hair up and put it on an angle from your nose going up to the ceiling, maybe you can sly layer it, but you’re not gonna keep all your hair in front of you on the top as if it was in a ponytail

Yes it does! I actually think it makes the CARE look thicker when you have thin hair and it’s just flat and it’s stays against your head. There’s no volume or anybody in that hair. You need to put some layers in there to pick the hair up so it actually has volume in it.

When you drag the hair before you cut it what does that do instead of combing straight up then cutting?

It’s called over directing, and it will change the ends that layers them a little bit more

If your hair is too thin you gotta try it I feel like layers give you more volume and more body. That’s my personal opinion for all my years of experience.

Well layered hair creates more fullness, so you need to find a stylist who know how to do fine hair well. I learned in high school on my boyfriend mother’s hair when I was 15 because she had super fine hair and I learned how to make her hair fuller and I always layered it and it looked so much better.

Can a older woman with thin hair but long with bangs do this cut? I am sixty seven with long hair to my waist ,but it’s thin out a lot.

Yes of course, you would probably need to do a really great face frame and you have to do a lot of sly layering through that hair if you want to keep it that long but you could have some and if it’s super thin, you probably want to go alot shorter
