Out of all the transformers that we have seen so far, Dino/Mirage has got one of the fastest onscreen transformations from car to robot mode. He transforms in less than a second. It's a blink and miss transformation. It's so fast. Suits Dino's alternate mode as well.

The slow motion scene with 'Bee jumping and pushing debris out of the way of Sam was one of the better, I think. It really shows off the reaction times a sentient machine you would expect. Nice bit of world-building you don't really see in Transformers. I don't remember any other establishing scene in any other continuity. Except maybe Ironhide's badass jump and midair twist

***** Well I'm sure you remember in the last three films, there have been people who, DESPITE the Autobots protecting us from a Decepticon attack, our Sun being harvested, extinction and eternal slavery, want the Autobots to leave Earth in the hopes that the fight will leave with them. And every single time, they have been proven wrong. When they exiled the Autobots in DOTM, they disbanded NEST, and after the battle of Chicago, they didn't sign the treaty again. If they did, humans wouldn't be allowed to use Cybertronian tech, but as we see in the beginning of AOE, that's all the humans are doing, fighting over the remains of the war. In AOE, the only reason the Autobots are being hunted is because the President (and his Chief of Staff who was sent to check on Cemetery Wind who is only supposed to be hunting Decepticons), and even KSI were being lied to. Remember when they saw Ratchet's head being melted down and the woman called him a Decepticon? They don't realize that Autobots were being killed and melted down. Attinger, the guy in charge, doesn't see "Good" and "Bad" aliens, as he puts it. He sees it as "Us" vs "Them", not wanting our races to combine or merge together so he hunts both. For all the humans know, the Autobots left Earth a long time ago, or at the very least are laying low and enjoying peace.

Don't get me wrong, I love the transformers movies more than any other movie tied to a toy line, but for fuck's sake man this scene is dumb. Why are there detachable robot guns when most movies had guns that were attached to the transformer's arms and shit? Why would ironhide and sideswipe force the enemies to drop their guns? They were required to kill any decepticons on earth, so why offer them to walk away? If they knew they were going to win, why didn't they just surprise attack first instead of alien looking decepticon? Why didn't sideswipe go ahead and slice both with his arm swords? Ironhide is bigger than them, he could of ripped them up. Sorry for the rant, but so many possibilities and yet Michael Bay had to do this.

See i enjoy these movies, but the the first one made transformers seem hard, tough, strong, that it would take some effort to do damage to them, but in the recent ones they seem so fragile, being so easily cleaved in half like butter, heads falling off like they werent even attached and how damage that would only scratch the painwork in the first filmwould pretty much cause chunks of metal and liquid to come spewing out in the latter films.
