Anime style tears are streaming out of my eyes for this beautiful Motormaster! I can't wait to finish this set to form Menasor and then knock out my Warbotron Bruticus with one punch, like in the episode, Starscream's Brigade, Part 1. What the heck, annihilate my Fansproject's version of Menasor like in the episode, Masquerade.

I will now have Color Me Badd in my head all day. But, overall, I think it is worth it, because this Motormaster is outstanding. I always felt he was a difficult bot to do right, and this one looks right in just about every way.

Hello Bobby, This Mission Powertrain (Motormaster) is way better then the Combiner Wars Motormaster. The reason I say that is because of the quality and its structure of strength of standing and staying together in robot mode and combine mode, I will be looking to it is complete as Menasor. The Combiner Wars Menasor does not stand to this one at all, very fragile when combined. Great job!!

Great review Mr. Skullface. I am a Stunticon fan myself so I'm about to go all in on this set. I love the look of all 4 figures so far in bot and vehicle modes so much that I dunno if I'll even get them combined. Away from me having CW/UW Menasor (which is my 2nd favorite combiner next to Superion), have to say, this team from TransFormMission, is looking up. I mean, awhile back, we got a Menasor from FansProject, we all know how much of a pain that thing was (I never owned that one, thank God), but seeing this, makes me think that this one is MUCH better, Mack, especially from a newer 3rd party company. I'm very excited to see what else they have after Menasor is done.

I jumped ship on this set, a few issues on the 1st and my copy of the 2nd was just atrocious, so I just couldn't put more money into it. I find the idw design is a lot more interesting visually than the G1 so was a bit bummed. 1 round to the bear I guess, have to see how XTB/DX9 do. Great watch as always, thanks man.

That is a great looking bot. One of the best I have seen yet and unlike you I am not a Stunticon mark. To me they were ho-hum. But now this company and this set is on my radar ... definitely. Fantastic review as always. The panel on the outside of the forearm in bot mode will accordion down a bit which looks a bit better (imo) and it keeps it out of the way when bending the elbow. You've probably already figured this out. 😉

I love the set. once you get the arms on he will lean forward due to too much weight on the little hinge that clips on the feet (trailer). I thinks there are 2 issues working against it. soft plastic, not enough support around that hinge. wish I could post a picture to explain in detail.

I was thinking about how they could fix the stress on the tabs on the thighs, which you mentioned at 7:58, and I considered the possibility of having the tabs be a separate piece of die cast that would connect to the inside of the thigh, but then the price would probably go up another ~$75, so, idk...

that stress mark, oooof. a huge no no and it seems to be a major holding tab. truck mode is great, robot mode is great, combined mode? looks like the legs are way too long aka combiner wars aesthetic. i saw a few pics of combined mode and its a gorilla. i would buy for individual robot modes though. thats where it shines.

I have this guy... not sure if it's a case of 'individual results may vary' but did your sword, when extended to Menasor mode not press back together tightly or separate slowly over time? Other than that issue I enjoy it

Well to be fair IDW's Menasor transformation had visible partsforming in it, so it's not like this is inaccurate. Much as I'm loving how this is looking, and cursing my inability to affford it, would you say Breakdown is this series' weak link so far?

I would say Breakdown is defo the weakest member of the team so far, with all the clearance issues and paint chipping. Carnage is "good +" and the two latest releases are awesome. Revolt is defo my fav, closely followed by Powertrain and both have fun transformations and super powerful shelf presence. So looking forward the release of their Dead End!!! (and he should be coming with new parts for the combiner mode to solve the arm issue, so let's hope they'll get that sorted.)
