I wish we still got toy catalogs like this today and I have fond memories of looking through the Sears catalog before Christmas and seeing the Transformer I wanted as I could only pick 1.

The interview is with Kozo Morishita, who is the director of the original Transformers cartoon and is the chairman of Toei Animation, he's directed lots of famous anime series like Dragon Ball Z, Saint Seiya, and Vehicle Voltron in the west.

So cool to see this, it’s a fantastic timeline of Transformers history! Seeing G1 in a magazine is unheard of here and the only toy catalogue that’s still in production here is the Smyths catalogue and that’s nothing when compared to this. I believe they even stopped the Argos catalogue (in print anyway) a few years back and I don’t know of any toy magazines still in production either.

Great review, love me a good magazine, I've been riding BMX for 30 years this year and about 4 yrs ago was the last bmx magazines were published, broke my heart, nothing like having the physical thing in your hands, I guess that's why we collect figures, cheers
