But in the case of Mark's character, he felt more developed by helping the Autobots in their causes; He used his skills to give them info on certain things, such as KSI; Etc, etc. In fact, I'm down with him returning for _Transformers_ _5_, just as long as he is given a good reason to help the Autobots. ;)

I'm dumbfounded by the fact that Micheal Bay found a way to make Transformers riding robo-dinosaurs uninteresting. All the things he did better this time around were negated by it's drawn out plot. This is the worst transformers imo. All of the other movies kept my attention at the very least to gawk at and make fun of. So many people hate on this movie simply because Michael Bay is doing it. I'm a hardcore transformers fan (seen every series, read every book, played almost every game, and the comics) and I frikin LOVED this movie. Yes, there was some Michael Bay details that I wish weren't in there, but this is the Transformer movie all us *fans* were waiting for! I was so emotionally attached to ALL the characters, both human and autobot. Unlike the first three films, the humans and autobots got almost equal story time on-screen and they WERE ACTUALLY WORKING TOGETHER to fight the enemy (as opposed to them fighting or running away in completely separate factions of the films). I couldn't watch Ratchet die (covered eyes and ears), I loved that Lockdown was in this but hated how evil he was, I was extremely attached to Optimus' conflict on quitting earth altogether, and I did really like seeing the Dinobots even though I was extremely doubtful before. The number one thing I loved: THAT MY THEORY OF THE QUINTESSONS WAS FRIKKIN IN THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (crushed my friend's hand so hard and hyperventilated when Lockdown explained to Optimus that their "creators want change"). Someone behind the scenes provided the research for this movie--I was suprised that the Transformers: Animated cues got down to details that I wouldn't expect in a Bay film (particularly with Lockdown). Can't wait to see it again and I forgive Michael Bay for listening to the fans a little bit (even though Hound was annoying, it was a pleasant to find out that they brought him into this movie so I appreciated that he was there). What will be in the next one? I'm callin' it: Hot Rod, and Galvatron internalization.

Fucking hilarious review man you had me dying the whole time. I only wish it was longer because there was still so much more to talk about. Initially I walked into the movie expecting to hate it (I only watched it because when I got to the theaters it was the only thing playing) and yet I walked out pleasantly surprised. I'm still a little confused by the story but it really doesn't matter because the action was intense as fuck. Regarding the Irish kid's driving, my dad was absolutely convinced that the car was actually a Transformer in disguise, and *that's* why he was driving so well. But then, you know...that wasn't the case, and he was upset.

Patrick Trujillo I think that the reason why it would be so important is that there is only one girl in Transformers or any action movie ever, and in a world where we`re trying to teach people that girls can be compertent and thus have equal rights and duties, we need at least some sane, reasonably smart female characters. It's not a political agenda: it`s just how things really are, but no male-oriented movie seems to be aware of that. I`m certain men are not so sexist that it would spoil their enjoyment, but Hollywood isn´t aware of that.

I am not saying that everyone needs to be bad-ass. I'm saying that in an Action movie I want the main female character to be bad-ass. I want her to kick butt, and not just be a thing that her boyfriend and her father fight over. I want her to be more than a helpless pretty face.

Well that's not always going to happen, infact it will almost never. As a woman who watches anime a lot a Come face to face with the "damsel in distress" stereo type. You should feel lucky if you come across an action movie with one bad-ass female character. Because society is going to take a while before even half of the main woman characters are even remotely cool. Also I think it would be retarded if EVERY main female character was a bad-ass. That request is fucking stupid.

I actually think it was easier to take the Dinobots more seriously when they weren't talking. Because personally, every time Grimlock referred to himself in third person when he could talk before, I couldn't really take him seriously because it was so funny. xD

Grimlock in the comics and Cybertron games does not talk like "Me Grimlock suffer brain damage" He just struggles with certain words and has a hard time not giving into rage. Much better characterization. Personally I would have made a 4th film about Shockwave conducting experiments on Autobots and Optimus hunting for what was happening in a mystery/thriller style Transformers film where towards the midway point he discovers the lab and his mutilated brethren and finds marked for termination due to their anger issues and diminished mental capacity, the Dinobots. Then the big finale could be him and the Dinobots killing Shockwave for being the Dr. Mengele of Cybertron.
