LOL Well so technically you've paid for two "transformers" in that package. The shell and the bending robot. I think it was lazy engineering on their part. Say what you will about the Studio Cell Unicron, but for a third party company to not only make a completely self contained fully transforming Unicron figure that is also incredibly movie accurate at half the price (yes I know it's all about the size) it's obvious the "official" design team didn't try hard enough. I was curious at how this figure would look if you removed the kibble and it somehow looks worse. Thank you for experimenting with your figure for us!

Under-engineered vs over-engineered imo. The Studio Cell is so lame to transform I have a hard time enjoying the figure, and the planet mode looks anemic compared to Haslab. Also, while robot mode is very clean, it's almost to clean because the mold is very plain without much detail. I have ordered Haslab and will be selling the Studio Cell when it gets here. To each their own obviously, but I would have a hard time calling the Studio Cell version better.

@@aaronkrantz Well most 3rd party TFs are designed to more closely look like the cartoon. They have the freedom to do so. That is there advantage. So it's true Studio Cell's Unicron looks more cartoon accurate, I still rather have the HasLabs version when it comes down it. Studio Cell should of made a bigger version of there Unicron, basically the biggest Transformer ever done. But Hasbro gets to maintain that honor.

@@FANtomCore Hasbro almost shut them down over this. Went too far by putting up pre-orders when this was announced. Hence why they released under the Studio Cell name. It's still Zeta.

Most ideal 3rd party kit for this Unicron, a duplicate battle-damage Unicron head, a stabilizing structural support/filler as well as a second set of wings to use for the planet mode. Such a 3rd party kit would then allow for a 3-piece display set of Unicron's severed head, robot form and planet mode, all utilizing just a single Unicron to do so.

I would expect that for the price it would be 2/3x bigger 01 Studio Cell. But nah, it's something that can be compared to legends/deluxe toy with the kibble. But gotta love how they are always shameless (Hasbro/Takara) with the kibble, that they display it at conferences. Edit: Typo correction

It could have all the joints necessary for a proper transformation as well as fixing the weight issues. And for that price tag, no excuse. It might be the size of a todler but you can't even call it a shelf candy with all that junk hanging on its back. While the size makes it impressive at a glance, once you start staring at it all problems just comes flooding in.

Imagine getting AN OFFICIALLY LICENCED FIGURE, with such a crap load of panel kibble - which was not shown in the Crowdfund, of which I bought 2 - that you need to literally take it apart to not look like a piece of KO SHIT. But oh look, Studio Cell 01 - NO FREAKING KIBBLE. NOTHING. All tucks away cleanly. And it's a KO. Riiighht... No wonder Hasbro wanted to kill of the Zeta one. They did a hundred times better job than Hasbro!! But thanks for showing us Prime vs Prime. At least we can make our Unicrons look *slightly less shit*. I'm sure a Third Party company will come along with an upgrade kit... Yeah - it's called Studio Cell 01. Can't believe Hasbro actually had the nerve to push out this shit on us. Honestly for the $600, well $820 for me since I needed that payment plan, it should have already been able to do that from the get go, with everything you needed to have both modes at once. Times like this, I get conspiracy vibes, as in Hasbro has to have some vested interest in keeping 3P around or this is their high priced low key wink at customizers cause they haven't really shut any down. Instead, they keep providing them fuel to continue, grow and improve. Add on kits have come a long way, all thanks to Hasbro.

So i would take the kibble off the arms as well, to fill the gaps and then just do a paper mache ball inside the planet mode to attach everything to in hollow planet mode. That or a beachball ;-) then if you like it then you shoulda put a ring on it

Or third party just makes parts to fill in the planet mode which can almost be completely made with the kibble being removed. You can display bot mode and planet mode at the same time or just trick your friends into thinking you wasted 1200 bucks

@@AFluffyLombax zeta toy can already do that, they manage to get hide all of the planet kibbles inside his body, although thier unicorn is not as big. However given that they can already engineer to that level, upscale him shouldn't be a problem

I dont mind the kilbble too much to be honest... I treat Unicron like a combiner.... at his size, it's actually not bad to see pieces of planets sticking on his body, just like a combiner and their alt modes. Yes, it's not cartoon accurate like studio cell, but it provides another unique presence due to his size. It's one of the rare times I don't mind kibbles...
