Transformers Siege A Fantastic Toyline

I spend your valuable time gushing in way too little detail about how good Siege was.
I tried to shave my audio down a bit further in this one. It didn't work out great.

Surprisingly, the Siege version of Omega Supreme has relatively little partsforming, just the tracks, and his body splits into 3, after that, those 3 sections individually transform. It's a far cry from the Lego monstrosity that was the G1 figure.

Siege got me back into transformers collecting. I had a few of the prime wars trilogy figures. One day I went to target and bought Megs and Prime and I was back into transformers.

This was the best of the trilogy easily. While kingdom has figures that I think are better namely Tigatron and Cyclonus. It just wasn't as consistently good as siege. this wave really was done well and the quality never really dipped although their were exceptions.

Love that Magnus, his only problem is short thighs in his armored mode, but there's an upgrade kit for that, and that line was absolutely stunning, I love almost every last figure in it.

Tbf soundwaves eyes are yellow for a lot of g1, like they were on his toy and art, I'm fine with the eye change, it is how it is and still looks fire

Yes it was yellow on the toy, but that's so much less important than the show. Most people who watched the show didn't have the toy, but EVERYONE who had the toy watched the show. And the red is just so much more attractive.

I only have three siege figures and they're all fantastic. I can't stop transforming ironhide, i love mirages design and springer just looks so good. You could take literally any figure and there's a 90% chance that it'll be great.

Yeah, that mold of Smokescreen is an improvement over the siege one. If I were to say the Must Haves from Siege, I'd say they are the Optimus, the Jetfire, the Hound, the Ultra Magnus, and the Shockwave.

Sideswipe was the first Siege figure I got. It was the figure that got me into collecting Transformers again. I loved it so much that even when I sold it after getting Kingdom Sideswipe, I had to get another one. Sideswipe's my favorite TF character after all, so why not have two versions of him? I got the 35th anniversary Prime and Magatron later on. I wasn't necessarily a fan of the battle damage deco, but what I liked about Siege was that their alt modes were different enough to be Cybertronian while at the same time not too far from being earth concept vehicles. Plus the plastics seemed better in quality.

It always hurts my soul to hear when people sell a figure like that. There are figures in my collection I will absolutely sell, but the one's that got me back into the fandom, even if I get a better version, will never leave the collection for sentimental reasons. And yes the more Cyber Punk, than Cyber Tron altmodes were super cool, I loved those SOOOOOO much.

Great line of figures. There's definitely some that I wish I had been able to get but I still got a fair bit of these. I can't decide if I like Siege or Kingdom better. Kingdom has a slight edge because I love Beast Wars and it gave us an utterly amazing Cyclonus. But Siege probably has the advantage in that most of the figures are great with minimal flaws.

I think that Kingdom has been petering out for a while now. Wave 1 was Awesome, wave 2 was good, and wave 3 was terrible. So I think Siege wins handedly, even if it hurts me to say it.

Motormaster, Blastoff, and Swindle all have purple, Onslaught and Brawl have Yellow. Trypticon has yellow, Runamuck has like 5 different eye colors. I think it's a bit more varied than you believe.

So doing that is sacrificing what a large chunk of the audience wants to appeal to the memories of a very few. I have most of the Siege voyagers. The only ones I don't have are Siege Megatron, Springer, Thundercracker and Apeface. They are all good. I love how Siege Starscream's articulation is basically the great legs of Siege Prime and the great arms of Siege Soundwave with added wrist swivels. Prime's truck mode is cool, Starscream's jet mode is nostalgic and Soundwave's Spaceship mode is cool looking to me because I still have imagination.

The Regular Siege Optimus FOR SURE. It's still one of the most fun beloved figures in my collection. I can't tell you the number of people who've messaged me being like "I bought the Siege one on your recommendation, and I loved it so much I got rid of the ER one." Galaxy Upgrade you can skip, it's not fun.

I got Siege Ratchet as an early bday present because it was that or pay upwards of $30+ for Universe Ratchet which I don't think I'll get. Only time I paid that much for a deluxe was CW Brawl. Might get reprolabels to make him look more earthly but for now I guess he makes a good heavy medical vehicle. I had CW Ironhide anyway and, personally, I always preferred him as a pick up than a "soccer mom van" as I've called his original alt mode lol. Megatron and Barricade were the only other Siege figures I got but I plan on either getting Siege Hound or Universe Hound.

Soccer wasn't big enough in the US for there to be a soccer mom van. I always just thought of it as an old person van. Hound's a good pick, but I'd also recommend that Optimus and Jetfire.

It might just be a problem for the Canadian releases, but the only 2 Siege figures I currently have (Out of Cog, Sideswipe, Chromia, Firedrive, Racecar Patrol, and Omega Supreme) Firedrive and Omega are the only two not to have some form of breakage yet. (Omega has some stressing on the rocket, also Swindler has no issues, but Roadhandler broke so it doesn't count)

It honestly wasn't too big a deal for me. I almost never transform chromia, a little sticky tack will hold on so Cog'left forearm and Sideswipe'sshoulder cannon pretty good. Kinda sucks, but I tend to have bad luck with figures breaking in the first place.

But they feel kind of Separate from the Idea of a toyline. And yeah, as someone who Hates headmasters, Titans Return was SHOCKINGLY good. I should have hated that line and I couldn't bring myself to, I actually ended up with a really high opinion of it. And I despise Headmasters.

The Paint for Netflix hound in general was dull. I think they were going for a Patina which is technically a hard thing to achieve, but the amount of work for the amount of payoff is in a bad ratio.

I love the megatron as well as my nemesis prime which is really just this optimus. A few minor things annoy me about megatron which stand out since the figure is so good in general. I dont like the little buttons on his abs i just think they look too toy-ish and dont fit the rest of the figure. The arms seem to conflict a bit with the backpack and the cannon in tank mode cannot aim up. I bought the earthrise megatron just recently in attemps to customize the seige to fix the tanks aiming problem. The weird dials on his abs ill just paint. Maybe im being over analytic but ive been dying for a megatrom who is as good as seige optimus in both modes

They're both pretty solid. I'd say Spinister is the better of the two, but there is something to be said for Skytreads simple Transformation, thought the Tanks difficulty with it's own cannon is frustrating.

I only kept it for about a weekend before returning it because it just didn't inspire me at all, so my memory is a little rusty. Proportions were dumpy, the extra partsforming was lame, and turning it into is full truck mode was unfun due to the combination being fiddly. Ultimately, I was like "Man I have a better version of this already, and I don't like the look of this" but I didn't do a super deep analysis.

But the Super mode had good proportions until you realize the Combined mode Shoulders are too small and the thighs are too short. Ultimately, the combined mode figure has terrible feet, the Cab robot is nearly perfect but needs a Matrix chest windshield cavity plus opening, the cab robot needs a more G1 accurate Optimus Prime head, and is missing a variety of accessories. Have you read any of the rebooted IDW comics?

Ah Siege Megatron my hatred for that figure is legendary bought him from my local Walmart as he just sat there for almost a month (red flag when it comes to my Walmart.) and I got him when I was with a buddy got him out of the box thought he looked good especially with the sword plugged into his back and folded down to made it look like the old gun barrel such a good look then I transformered and oh god that’s when the problem started it was so clumsy with its transformation I was shocked it came from Siege then all I had to do was get the sword pegged on to the front of the Fusion canon and it would not work I tried everything and it wouldn’t work so I went fuck this and tried to put it back into robot mode and as if to continue to fuck with me the fusion canon came off the right arm and stayed pegged on the left arm that was when I noticed the peg was gone it turned out that I had the audacity to transform it back to robot mode and the canon decided it’s peg and it should see other people I was furious I didn’t have it out of the box for more then 10 minutes before it broke and it was destroyed I returned got a refund and proclaimed that the Titans Return Megatron was my one true Megatron ya sure the peg on the right arm is loose, but at least it hasn’t fucking broke.
