@@moloko912 The movies being a separate universe doesn't matter because the characters still have their TV show's personalities for the most part, or an approximation. For example, Optimus always fighting for good or Starscream being a treacherous subordinate. Magnus being traitor in the movies still would've been awful to see, in my opinion.

Look at dreamwave comics or even the recent siege cartoon on netflix (it wasn't betrayal but it wasn't siding with optimus either and closer than what sentinel did in the third movie than you think) he always was verry strict and rigid and he called out fellow autobots. and I think he would fit the 3rd movie plot well without denaturing the character. Remember at the core sentinel wanted to save cybertron and the transformers race even if it means siding with megatron which is kind of what ultra magnus did o the 2nd episodes of the netflix show. And I also really wanted to see a white optimus combining with his trailer so I may be a little biased

I like how Ultra Magnus faces Megatron before being executed. It kind of parallels how Magnus refused to shoot Megatron in the back last episode. Even in the end, Ultra Magnus was honor bound. Maybe I’m reading too much into this, but it’s something fun to takeaway.

It’s arguable that he forced Megatron’s hand with that secret transmission to the Autobots about the Allspark, talking of Megatron using it like a sure thing when Megatron and Jetfire were voicing their misgivings of Shockwave’s proposal. Megatron was about to win, and Prime was weak. It’s be of those moments that corrupted Megatron IMHO. Of course then there’s always Alpha Trion, which may already prove Megatron’s corruption.

I didn't see it the first time but after watching some of these scenes again I can understand why so many hate the how cheap they got with the voice acting. There's so little difference between Magnus and Megatron's voice. It just sounds like everyone is trying to do raspy tough guy voice. It makes sense why Peter Cullen is so annoyed they cut him out of this.

Basically, Magnus believed that Prime was purposely continuing the war, since Megatron had offered Prime peace terms that would have allowed Prime and the Autobots to go into self imposed exile in exchange for not continuing the war. So he ended up going to Megatron in order to plead his case for peace and try to show that some Autobot’s were willing to listen. However, after some time, Megatron (at Shockwaves insistence) decided to torture Magnus to discover the Autobot HQ, since he learned that Prime was attempting to find the Allspark in order to turn the war in his favor. Magnus eventually cracks and tells Megatron he will take him to the base, which leads to this scene.

Its really amazing to have the old glory. I think the voices could be better tuned and a bid faster and not a big fan of the box like structures which are mostly represented of earth like vehicles. Kinda preferred how they went about it in transformers, prime. But regardless, this is far better than robots in disguise and the bayverse., Second question? why is there rain in cybertron, they're all roobots right, what the purpose of water or wind there?

Christophe P. Bee Narrowed it down with Wheeljack. They had a map, Magnus was in a cell at the time, and even if he did, Megatron would have tracked it just like he did when Magnus warned the Autobots
