I still recommend having a few hamster wheels as back-up power and, depending on faction, wind mills or engines (note that wind mills stop moving at random intervals due to the wind stopping). The good thing is that there is no loss of power during transfer, it's completely additive, so extreme long-range power transmission works if you need it to.

ive played quite a bit of TB so far, and heres a tip: every unemployed beaver shall be a farmer or a researcher. swimming in carrots and science is the key to success. add: if my observations are correct, you need 2 water, per beaver, per day. my beavers go to drink every evening and morning. if someone math that out for a small tank i would be very glad.
@zacdee3163 жыл бұрын
RCE! Four things of note. 1: The dry seasons definitely get longer. 2: I would recommend (especially on this map) to dam another area every other dry season to ensure your water supply. 3: Wind turbines are a thing, the small one is cheap to unlock too. 4: Districts are awesome. If you damn the mouth of the river, assign a district to control there, and prioritize food/water, it can be a life boat for other districts by migrating the entire population when food stocks are low. I've only had a few hours with the alpha release, but sweet baby Jesus is it awesome. Way better than the beta.

I would build a row of levies and then a row of dams on the up top. You will create a large water reservoir and if you convert one of the dams at the lower end to a levy you will increase that lower river capacity to just before it over flows.

Something I noticed that I haven't seen you doing... you can select certain crops/trees to be destroyed. One of your beavers will come over and take it out. You won't get resources for it but sometimes it means you can get a path or building in without having to wait so long for the spot to be clear.

@luminariel37653 жыл бұрын
I'm really thinking hard about what would help your city, and i think you might want to blow a few new spots for the water to fall from the spring. If you make a space to the upper left, you could have a lake that greens up and entire area of dead trees and could give you extra water in the dry season. But if you dam it with levies and let it get deeper, that would be even more beneficial! You could create your own creeks and ditches once you get the flood gates and make it so that the water isn't as big a problem :D

I found for every 2 farmers that are prioritized for harvesting, you have 1 farmer set to plant. They plant faster than they harvest. That way there’s always food growing as some is being harvested
@bober-mz2ys3 жыл бұрын
you should use science points to unlock dynamite, and blow up next to where the farms are, water will stay in the holes/give you more time for farming while the dry season is happening (as long as you blow up in the water)
@Andyjoe5223 жыл бұрын

Build a dam at the beginning of your reservoir, where you just put stairs. Make sure to put a spill way at the bottom of the dam That way it will fill up during the wet season and flow over the too like normal. But during the dry season, you can open the spill way as needed and keep your reservoir filled
@xavvey3 жыл бұрын
For the farming I'd suggest making 2 farming houses. Instead of 1 with 2 beavers you set the two houses to one beaver each and prioritize 1 house to planting and the other to harvesting. That way you get fresh food and it starts growing right away. And when there is a little time nothing to plant or to harvest then the beavers automatically help the other one 🙂

Plant Maple, not Birch. Much better both in terms of lumber per plot-day, and lumber per work effort. (3 days per log instead of 9, 24 logs per forester task instead of 1, ~3 logs per lumberjack job instead of 1). The only downside is the 24 day wait, which is a non-issue if you plan ahead and overplant a reserve.
