I actually really want to transition when I’m older when I actually have the money to do so, but until then I don’t think my parents (especially my mom) will be very happy with the fact that I’d like to get a binder and all that stuff. Even now my mom tries to get me to be all pretty and girly and if I pick something she deems as “too boy-ish” I cannot purchase it. Can not wait until I’m old enough to where I can buy whatever clothes I’d like and transition. This video is something I’d like to show to my parents when I tell them I’m trans so they can better understand it. Great video!

Thank you SO much for this video! I'm genderfluid, and I have a young friend (like, really young, I'm nearly 30 and she's 13) who's FTM trans. I understand that she's still figuring things out, but she's one of those people who thinks that to be trans means to have the dysphoria and to want to fully transition, and, as a result, she thinks that most genderfluid/nonbinary people are just trying to be trendy. Now, not all of this is her fault, because there is someone at her school who identifies as nonbinary, says they have dysphoria, but then still dresses as their biological gender the majority of the time. I think this person might be confused as to what dysphoria regarding gender actually means, but, that person also baits my friend into saying things and then using it against her. As a result of these negative experiences, I totally understand my friend not seeing genderfluid/nonbinary as valid. But, when I tried to give her sources which explain that, even among trans people, not all of them fully transition, she actually got mad at me and said that to not transition means they're not actually trans, because, as I said, she honestly thinks that all trans people have the dysphoria and want all the surgeries.

I want to make a random comment simply because this is the only place I can buttt, does anyone else take foreign language such as Spanish that requires you to pick either masculine or feminine endings? if so, any tips on how to get a teacher to understand because I put "masculine" endings and she just thinks that I'm confused (even though I'm in spanish 3 so I would know the difference so yeah) and don't know the difference between the two even though I constantly tell her I go by male pronouns in English and it's the same. can anyone think of something to help because she's strictly Christian (nothing against christians I'm just saying) and she says that trans doesn't exist and everyone else calls me by male pronouns so idk if I should just go with it on paper or not
@mossboss92368 жыл бұрын

I'm sorry :( but yeah, anyone know anything? it'd be very helpful
@callumsk8rboy8 жыл бұрын
If your teacher isn't respecting your pronouns (in any language) then you really should speak to someone higher up in the school system who would be able to help you and speak to this teacher. maybe speak to someone like a counselor or go to the principal even.
@angelalice55268 жыл бұрын
my school system doesn't care and I would try but I really don't want them to make a big deal about it. the school would be more like to make a big deal about it and turn it into an issue... I was just wondering if someone knew a way that I didn't because cause even they (ellos or ellas) requires a gender. thank you by the way :)
@totallynoticarus8 жыл бұрын
I think you should just stick with the pronouns you want to use. If your teacher thinks you've got it wrong just calmly explain to her that you choose the male pronouns for a reason. And if that doesn't work, su and lo are always gender neutral. But you can't use them all the time because of the way they are used in the Spanish language.

Hi Kovu!! I thought I would just say, the first video I watched of you (the 100 Ways to Come Out... Almost) and I would NEVER would have guessed you were trans!! I didn't find out until I got more into your videos, I figured it out. And I thought you should also know that I have a really close trans MTF friend, and whenever someone uses improper pronouns and names, I get super protective and kinda yell at them, because she does nothing about it. Like today I was in the car with my mom, and she used the wrong name and pronouns and I scolded her. I understand if you don't know and up you use improper pronouns and name, but if you know, then respect their wishes to use proper pronoun/name. So yeah. Oh and I'm bi, and I respect someone by their wished pronoun/name (as you have seen above) and if they say they are a guy, I like the as a guy and if they at they are a girl I like them as a girl.

Okay, I love the way you speak. I'm learning English and sometimes I don't understand you. but I love you anyway. :P I love MCR and I just jumped and sing along when you started singing... I'm not sure about many things about myself... but I will be okay... someday... I hope XD Anyway... I wanted to tell you that you have helped me a lot with your videos. I love the way you are and the way you talk about all this confusing things. And I love when you sing.
