He has a very off putting look in his eyes, it took me a while to watch because of it. Its sad that he became transgender because it made him more money and now he does it because hes stuck with something that started out as empowering and fun. This person probably isn't transgender, this person seems deeply disturbed and affirming his delusion is a disservice. He needs love, compassion, understanding, and guidance to heal himself, not being enabled by pseudointellectuals and cowards. If being transgender was the cure to his otherness, he wouldn't be shooting up meth and fentanyl while men pay to violently sodomize him on a nightly basis. He seems like a very gentle soul who has been absolutely ravaged by the darkness in our world. I hope his life improves and he comes to accept himself as he truly is.

Someone said to me once, "who cares how old you are or how much time your plans will take you? That time is going to pass anyway, so you might as well do it. I learned something a long time ago, and, that is that you can do anything that you put your mind to. The reason that I say this is because I was abused. I, at one time, was afraid of everything and anything new, (change). I was also criticized so badly that, even though you know in your rational mind that what the abuser is saying about or to you is untrue. But, in the back of your mind, you begin to believe all the negative things that the abuser is saying about and to you. Once you break free from that, you can literally do anything.

Alysin, you are an amazingly positive person and 30 is nothing...you can definitely go back to school, especially if you don’t have a drug offense and can get financial aid. I can’t get aid, but I hustle my way through, in the same business you’re in. I had two counselors who helped me get off drugs, as opposed to a whole bunch of awful ones who told me that you couldn’t talk about prostitution in treatment, excluding me. I know it’s hard to get the good resources... the off the streets program in Chicago used to not take trans women. The two treatment who finally helped me graduated at ages 46 and 50, so now that’s what I’m trying to do so somebody doesn’t have his hard a time as they would otherwise. Financial aid is good enough that you can do it for yourself if you get a GED, of maybe you graduated. I just walked in and passed mine... it’s not hard, if you’re literate. Maybe you graduated but I’m just saying that so people know you can get all the grants and stuff even with the GED. If you are ambitious and smart enough to deal with the life and try to stay positive, like you do, you can definitely make it in school. I hear you about the difficulty with relationships with men while being in the business, or after. I have never dreamed of leaving with a rich customer, because they see me as a Burger King, so why would I want to become an all you can eat buffet? There’s no “have it your way” in a relationship with me...it has to be mutual, and tricks don’t approach me that way. I get that! Then the men I do want (non-customers) usually won’t get serious about a ho unless they want to make money off me, so it’s hard to tell if they’re sincere. I’m glad I met a guy who’s real 8 years ago, but I didn’t trust one to date till I was 36. You are a beautiful and inspiring woman. I love hearing from people like you, with experiences like mine, and strengths I can learn from, as well. Stay safe and strong. Like we can stay safe, right? But, I mean, don’t give up the fight. You’ve got a lot to give, and you are giving a lot already through sharing your story.

I admire the time you spend talking with people that want to be heard. I have a constructive criticism though; instead of assuming an emotion when you ask something, even though you may be right, I would avoid it when talking about trauma. An example: "did you feel shame?" "So you do this work to be loved, right?". Asking for the emotion opposed to naming it can make a difference when people are reactive with triggers (at least for me). You are awesome and I truly wish her all the best.

@Tabula Rasa “I’m not against transgender people” delivers the same as when someone makes a rude comment but prefaces it with “I’m not trying to be rude but”... you’re being transphobic!!! Super toxic to be pretending that you know “weirdo” parents that are “forcing” their kids to be this way. And if you really did then wouldn’t you be trying to help that child? And not using it as a token point to invalidate individuals who support their fucking children!?!?! I know you don’t know one single family doing this but just read a Facebook status from your transphobic friend and now regurgitate it every chance you get!! Straight propaganda pushed by transphobes to make themselves feel better about being transphobic. Blame it on “weirdos” or this or that. YOUR TRANSPHOBIC!!
@chaoticodin094113 жыл бұрын
@Tabula Rasa FIRST OF ALL!!!! I didn’t expect you to respond this way lol. Sorry for being cunt about it I just get upset when I see comments like that. So thank you for responding in an endearing way. I feel like that really allowed me to feel less defensive and more open to sharing how I feel about this in a less rude way 😂 second of all!!! This is going to be a long post so again...I’m sorry. With that being said...I simply don’t think that it’s forced on kids. I think there are finally parents and people willing to let their kids see that gender is a construct and isn’t so rigid. That they don’t have to be anything or anyone that society tells them. That men love men. Women love women. And sometimes people are born in the wrong body. If simply educating your children on these things is “forcing” a lifestyle then maybe you should try to look at it another way. Some parents for their kids to go to church or act/dress a certain way or be a certain type of person, but that doesn’t mean that they turn out that way. Obviously it’s an issue if a parent is forcing their child to be something they aren’t and going so far as to getting surgeries, etc...but I don’t see any cases of this happening. I see this as another way to get people to think being trans is bad and that parents are forcing their kids to undergo these procedures. So it makes people assume all kids who are trans are being forced into it and are making a “horrible” decision. It only creates more tension for people who don’t understand this topic. I feel like when you say parents are forcing their children to be trans is creates a toxic conversation topic for people who simply do not understand the complex process of this situation. It only can make parents feel neglectful for supporting their children in choosing to be who they see themselves as. And making children feel like they are crazy for wanting to do what feels best for them. I simply see parents learning to love and accept their children the way they are. Which is what all parents should do!! They should simply allow their child to pursue what feels best for them and not make them feel wrong for doing so. And the process of becoming trans is complicated. First, you can only start hormonal treatment at 16. So it’s not like 4 year old kids are allowed to get these treatments. And if they are, that’s probably a malpractice suit waiting to happen. And before even starting hormone therapy most people (in most states and in most situations) must be referred by another medical professional (therapist etc) in order to start these treatments. It’s more complicated than we think to transition. And it’s not to say that sometimes things don’t go wrong, but again, a lot of the reason these stories are out there (ones that are like detransitioning, etc...) are just to further hate for transgender individuals. To make them feel like no one knows what they are doing or what they want so we should just invalidate all trans people because a few along the way were simply confused and not trans. So please, I’m sure you would feel bad if I told you the way you parented was wrong. Or that you were forcing something onto your children. Or that your lifestyle was wrong. Please think about how people must feel to see their existence or their child’s existence debated simply because people don’t understand it. I’m not saying you can’t hold whatever beliefs you have, but just think about how people must feel when they read these comments you make. And it’s not just you. It’s thousands of people constantly trying to invalidate the existence of human beings and their lifestyle. The bottom line is, people’s existence should not be up for debate. Let people do what they want with their life and simply live and let be.
