I wish Cyberpunk has such cyberhacking reality clusterfucks at one point. This game's atmosphere is intense. It's not only the environment but also the absence of human interaction in a physical plane. It makes you feel as if the whole time the protagonist just travels in-between cyberspaces.

Well...releasing old ones and elder gods...yeah. It's basically always been the objective. It's like in any sandbox game. You complete everything and run out of main quests and side quests but the game keeps going...so you decide to just go kill everything because you already own everything, collected everything, learned every skill and it's the only thing left. Thing of it is...releasing the elder gods is the end result. And there are many of us who find no pleasure in the goings ons of mere mortals. I had a dream once. In it, I found my soulmate. I experienced an eternity of pure and true love/ecstasy in mere moments. And after, I realised, due to the pressing matters at hand, we had no time for happily ever after. We had the objective of survival. Love isn't enough comrades. There is no right or wrong. No good/evil dichotomy. There is only what can and cannot be done. Do... Do not... There's no reason for any of it. Might as well burn it all. Oh that we were only animals...to coexist harmoniously with our environment...but the dragons taught us greed by proxy, and now we are damned to want. Woe to the people. Væ victis
@nBaqi
@nBaqi 4 жыл бұрын
@@themarlboromandalorian I won't argue with anyone on this matter, because H.P Lovecraft's work is always about anthropocentrism. But in his interpretation, whether we like it or not, humans are on the losing side instead. It's either the objective is to prevent cosmic horror from happening (which will inevitably happen anyway) or temporary delay it.

Might as well mix some Cronenberg in with yer Lovecraft, right? 45:30 Reminiscent of Half-Life. 45:37 "And you will face the sea of darkness, and all therein that may be explored." There's been quiet a few of these games where the plot of the aliens or the Great Old Ones is explained right away, or it's easy to grasp, or the aliens are rather humanoid in nature. At this point it's lovecraftian only in the idea of esotheric aliens using a mix of magic and tech. If devs really want to use this style, then they best look into the Dreamlands, it would fit them much better.
