An amazing video series, which was extremely helpful. It covered the entirety of semiconductors and transistors and explained each concept in detail, unlike the textbooks that we usually study from. Mahesh Shenoy's animated voice and enthusiasm keeps you focused and interested throughout. Loved it. I would equally love a series on class 12 magnetism or electrostatics, or pretty much any other class 12 topic.

I am extremely grateful for this fabulously well presented and explained series. I always explore KZbin for educational video. Unfortunately, i always get these hipsters, more concerned with moving their arms about and wearing a t-shirt with some irrelevant message. Your methodology and pedagogy, Mr Shenoy, is outstanding. We see an interest in teaching. Thank you.

How does that led will glow ? In the cutoff region Ic is almost zero. So how does that Led can glow ? 🤔
@parthpandya64124 жыл бұрын
Well shyd, Ic was zero because the path through the npn was not allowing it to flow, but after connection of led, Ic has an alternate path to go through the led to ground, thus Ic is not zero when led is connected but the current going into the npn is zero

At 02:26, you mentioned that a maximum current flows in the case of saturation But won't the maximum current face resistance due to the resistor? Then how will a current even flow from collector to base? Kindly clarify sir.
@lakshitadixit5 Жыл бұрын
Resistance is used to drop voltage. And the current u are talking about is amplified. IC= beta times IB

Amazing series 👍👍

Sir I'm having a major doubt... A resistor is used for reducing current flow. So, if a resistor is placed in the emitter region, won't the electrons coming from the base region due to reverse biasing get resisted? And if they get resisted, there won't be any current, right?

Now one might ask I follow two books because I give board exams and they didn't follow any specific books. After I finish reading those two books and check yt turns out they hole concept the book wrote was unnecessarily complex.

Sir in zener diode case you told that it is a non ohmic device .so being short cicuited the led will glow but here u r saying that it will not glow. So sir is transistor an ohmic device...?
@lakshitadixit5 Жыл бұрын
In the case where zener diode is used, there also resistance is used and that resistance drops the voltage to zener voltage breakdown, which depends on the material used for diode. But if we short circuit in zener diode bulb would glow but battery will blow up. And there is a difference bw zener diode and a Transistor.
