There will be new video posted soon as I am about to do a 90,000 transmission fluid change. It will be more detailed and more in depth as I will be more through this time in terms of explaining steps on video. Especially when filing up the fluid and bringing it up to temperatures.

How much fluid came out when you first removed the fill plug? I plan on doing a drain and fill and want to make sure I capture that, thanks.
@MolotovGarage16 күн бұрын
@@danbell6380 I didn’t measure fluid that came out. I was more concerned on filling it properly which is you have to fill it up, plug it, warm transmission up to temps and open plug and check the level by letting excess out.

Use the electric ratchet,,, off and on..until getting to the torque down part.

Isn’t getting 8 quarts out of 10 with only draining and filter change considered a high ratio, how did you manage to get all of that old fluid?
@MolotovGarageАй бұрын
@@khalidalghamdi2512 just do more frequent intervals. I did first one at 50k next one at 40k and next one coming up at 30k. Makes a huge difference in transmission performance, don’t over analyze until paralyze just do it. 90% fresh fluid is better than 100% old fluid

How did it shift compared to the ACdelco ULV fluid?

I believe you did remove the exhaust right ??
@MolotovGarage3 ай бұрын
@@victorrodriguez8917 this is a 2WD model so there is thankfully no exhaust pipe or any drive shaft on the way. It’s a good mention I will mention that on next transmission fluid change.

How many quarts did you use?
@MolotovGarage3 ай бұрын
@@2ss701 I filled up with 8.1 quarts. However also when you are at the step where you have to bring transmission to temperature to level the fluid, once you open the fill plug fluid will come out until drip, then close.
@2ss7013 ай бұрын
@@MolotovGarage I think this is different on the 10 speed Camaros I saw 6.5 quarts. But the pan on the Yukon I think it’s bigger.

When you swap the filter.... the bolts take 44 in/lbs PLUS 128 degrees of rotation. You left that part out.
@user-wo6ow5pn5u3 ай бұрын
Does anyone have this in a procedure. IF you rotate another 128° it seems like you will increase the torque dramatically
@MolotovGarage3 ай бұрын
I just stick to 44 in lbs, once torque wrench buzzes its enough for me. These bolts impossible to find I dont want to risk stripping them or inside the tranny

This is too easy. I have a 4X4 Suburban, and the muffler is a bitch to move. Not a home project. Need a hoist and two guys minimum.
