Mr.Queen is SO worth watching! The writing, the humor, the acting, and the actors' charms are top class, even for the side characters. Every one of them is memorable. Not that I don't love Mystery Recapped clip, but the cooking aspect presented in this clip is just ONE of multiple angles that the story is told. If Mystery Recapped wants to do a good and thorough review on Mr. Queen, they probably need 6 hours to do so, no kidding. Go watch it if you can. You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll sigh with a smile. Omg I still get emotional when I think of 대장금 (Jewel in the Palace) because it was one of the first dramas that fueled my desire to learn Korean. If Mr.Queen is anywhere near as good as Jewel in the Palace as you say it is I must go and watch the whole show properly! P.S. For those of you looking for historical K-drama recommendations I would suggest “Saimdang: Memoir of Colors” (사임당: 빛의 일기) which stars 이영애 (Lee Young-Ae) the same lead actress in Jewel in the Palace! ❤

When you realise he was not dragged back to present by jumping into that pond and it happened only on episode 6 while the series is 20 episodes long, you know you sure wanna go for the series. I assure you people, this is one of the finest, greatest political comedy I've ever seen. Bong nearly died there several times and the way he transformed into a female without losing his own self was hilarious. The flirting scenes between the King and the Queen was out of the world. This series is a package of laughter, tension, suspense, politics, thrill and acting. Shin Hye Sun acting as the queen literally nailed it. She really a versatile actress. ❤️

Mr. Queen is actually on my Number 1 favorite of all K drama. It has the perfect blend of comedy and seriousness throughout the series, What I love was the characters stayed consistent from start to finish. I've always hated in other show where the female character starts off indepentent and brave and in the end they turn out to be damsels in distress always bring saved by the harem. This one stayed true to who she is and I freaking love it, and the fact the romance was unexpected. Ever since I watched this I cannot enjoy other shows the same way

I used to make fun of my mom for binging romcoms, especially these asian period dramas. Watched the first episode of this series for shits and giggles and thought I'd watch the first 2 episodes and then drop the show. I'm 8 episodes in and hooked now; this show mixes drama, comedy, politics like I've never seen. Great performances by the actors and the script isn't cheesy or overly troupey. Main actress/actor is fantastic and the character is actually smart and likeable. What a fantastic find; I'll be nicer to Asian dramas from now on. 😅

I watch Korean, Chinese, thai, Japanese, Turkey, European, American and just some random series and I feel like I pretty much prefer korean drama (some of chinese drama is good too like reset) bcs they portray emotional scenes very natural and realistic. The depth and the tempo is very good that make me invested in the drama. Some of American series is good too but sometimes the tempo is too fast n so many things happen in the short amount of time. Asian drama like to take things slowly and they love to break the ties one by one that's why I'm on kdrama more.

My absolute favorite drama! It was hilarious and even the side characters were likable! Maybe just a little disjointed when it came to the plot and the ending was lackluster, but it was so entertaining!!

I have never heard of this movie and watched this, and you did a great job, I got the gist of it. I'm from India, and while Bollywood has its plus points, it's always a love story. I wish Bollywood would explore more creative options like this fun story here. Especially historical. I used to watch a historical Korean drama I don't even remember the name of long ago, but that was good too.
