Merry Christmas! Good to see you take a break from ice fishing and bring us along on a new pond with new beavers. I miss doing this.....if I had the space and the time, I'd definitely get back at it. Haven't trapped in 20 years, I'm not as youthful as I was then.....but it would be good busy work🙂

Awesome job buddy!! At least you tried to catch some beavers out of those two giant feed piles!! You definitely can’t catch them sitting on the coach at home!!! It does suck that not one big one was caught but that always drives me to come back and definitely out smart them!!! Lol!! Well remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!

With the beavers eating the sticks at the beginning would it have been a good idea to try a snare it? I’ve seen you use snares before but it’s been a while. Also hope you had a good Christmas
@PatrolOfficer1612 жыл бұрын
I've asked before but don't remember if you answered. Does the meat of the beaver get utilized? Do you prinarily hunt to clear the problem, cure the pelts or eat the meat?
@deernutOO2 жыл бұрын
The wind didn't bother the mic's. That is a good thing.

Do you think them beaver had been trapped before with the sticks chewed off n a log in the other causing them to be shy??
@marktheo15632 жыл бұрын
With this many small beaver on different generations coming out of this pond,you know there are a couple Brutes down in there. At this point in the video ,we see if you bang them.
@dkjphills792 жыл бұрын
So I'm 3:45 into the vid. Can you quantity emotionally how your are feeling at this moment. You get permission to trap on this pond and there are signs of some massive critters here. Would it be like seeing a massive buck on a trail cam.

Are the adults beavers getting smarter? You caught the youngsters. Worth coming back in the spring and catch the adults.

@joseywales21892 жыл бұрын
I see a couple things your doing wrong, your putting your triggers in the center of the 330 which in turn catches small beaver and allows muskrats to snap traps, and also I think the pond was already trapped and the big ones were trapped out
@kpmurphy27382 жыл бұрын
Why do you do this? Beavers are very important to the conservation of water and river geography, which is why they exist. I suggest you find a less sadistic hobby.
@georgepotter5101 Жыл бұрын
Did you not watch the beginning of the video? I agree with your point, BUT they are also very destructive animals and if not kept under control they will decimate property in a very short time. I know this first hand from my property!!! 160 acres wooded with a private lake and nearly 20 acres around said lake of destroyed timber from beavers.
