I looked up bicycle donations in Pennsylvania and there are a few. One thing I have learned volunteering is make phone calls, i.e. if you want to donate the bikes call and ask if they have volunteers who can pick up the bikes. I would burn out trying to do everything and learned to stick to my strengths. Making the call is always hard for me but usually I find people who are grateful for the opportunity to help.

When my children were young I would pick up bikes off the curb. I got a book at the library on repairing bikes and got pretty good at it as long as I didn't have to deal with the derailleur. Thinking about dealing with it always made my brain hurt.

Hi, been a fan since your videos were in the 200s. Love watching you. I wanted to tell you about a recycling bicycle project there is one in Harrisburg and one in Lebanon. It's a earn a bike when you learn to fix and maintain it. Lebanon recycle bicycle, keep up the good work.

I hate to tell you but the people probably did paint the house purple! 😂 My dad and mom used to trade choices of paint colors on their houses… she would pick pink… next house he would pick grey! Worked for them!

Hello Taco Stacks, Idea on the bicycles you find in good condition, you might contact your local school district social worker or the Director of your local Boys and Girls Club and they may know of some families who could use the bicycles you find. They would possibly take them off your hands and contact the families in need. If they do not need or accept them, they could possibly refer you to a group or organization who accepts them.

I scrap all bicycles. I cut all the aluminum off them. I have tried to give them away no one wants them. If bicycles were in demand. I would not be finding them in the trash. I have found as many as 3 in the same pile. If I would find as many air conditioners as I do bikes. It would be a great month.

Try the Sheriffs department, sometimes they have auction for stolen goods, and could include the donated bicycles.

My Dad would take bikes out of the trash, and fix them up for kids in his area without bikes. People would bring him parts they would find. My Dad would put new reflecters and a helmet and bike lock.😊
