The trunk, with its beautiful 1800's interior, could easily be restored. Even if the leather had become stained, rotten, or moldy, the brass decorations on it would still be useable to help restore another one. But it looks like you may have good provenance, here! You might try using saddle soap to clean it up.

The hand painted artwork is from Mexico and it’s hand painted on wood bark. I really don’t know the value but the ones I have I received as a child and after 50 years having them the colors are still just as vibrant. You’re doing great work Tucker, love you and your family.

My wife and I looked that ADAMS Steamer Trunk up Tucker and it seems to be from the 1800's. It's worth a lot. We are seeing prices from $700 - $1,000. Rich folk are restoring them or using them as coffee tables. Good Luck! ✌️❤️🌎

Those tv/record consoles were EVERYTHING back in the 60/70's, the OG fuse amps in some of them delivered great sound for the day.

The tv cannot work, as it is analog, which is no longer broadcast. The cabinet with the sliding doors to hide the screen, would have still been worth picking up due to the resurgence of vinyl records and the popularity of Mid Century Modern decor.

I would have got it and changed the whole theme of my living room to the 60's-70's it was awesome and in tact I wouldn't care that it didn't work I don't watch TV anyway. I was so sad to see him walk away from it. I hope I get that lucky to find one during spring cleaning this week. 👀🙏

Shared a workshop with a furnitire refinisher for wealthy folks, he redid one and deleted the old tv for a new set up with modern sound system and kept the record player/radio on the old fuse amp , they are cool but really are the size of a medium refrigerator, ya need plenty of space for it.

good tip for anyone that lives in a college town, end of year starting the last few weeks of school before summer break the trash picking is crazy, sometimes so good that universities hire security to guard dumpsters, so you have to go to the off campus housing and find stuff that way.
