A Fine looking Manor, I’ve not tackled one of these motors yet, but I can use this video for reference when I do. Many thanks 👍🏻

Whilst better than nothing, I always use a conductive grease on axle slots of split chassis locomotives like this, as electrolube is so thin it just runs away like even quicker than any oil does in a non captive environment. Grease stays where you put it. Quartering is indeed a fine art. I find my “quarters” are usually too small.

Informative video. Thank you. Just a note, you won't get an electric shock from 12 volts DC, or indeed, the 9 volt battery . The resistance of the human body is too high for any significant current to flow.

Trust me, if you put your fingers on a split chassis loco and put the 9V battery on it you do get a shock.

I had one😁😁

@dansmodelrailways7886 Dan that is just the inductive kick back from.the motor coils. Its not a shock from 9volts.

Mine has completely given up the ghost, cant get it running. So, feel time is right to give it a bachmann chassis, which i prefer over mainline.

Is that not a later Replica Railways locomotive? The motor is not like the earlier Mainline motors
@gs42519 күн бұрын
This has the "pod" motor that replica used. But it was also in later mainline ones too
