In real life people deal with feeling with being stuck/underappreciated/bored. Being underpowered is usually how this is narratively done. But in OPM, Saitama gets the exact same predicament from being overpowered. He feels stuck and bored WITH being overpowered AND is also underappreciated. THAT'S why he works, very relatable human struggles despite near opposite circumstances to reality.

Enough so that the journalists that broke the scandal wrote a Pulitzer Prize winning book (All the President’s Men), which then became an Oscar winning movie. On the accountability of writers: I do think that writers who write about controversial topics are often challenged on then, GRR Martin included. The thing that has to be analysed is why a certain thing is being portrayed. Generally, if you portray a certain objectionable act, you can be in favour of it, against it...or it could be a joke. For example, recently there was a book where basically only the antagonists were all LGBT, and there the objectionable content is being favoured, that is easily identified as bad. When writers portray such issues to shed light on them, or to criticize something (aBoUt sOcIeTy) then that's generally seen as acceptable (in the current moral climate, I 100% agree that the bar is always shifting). The blurry line is with comedy. To what extent are you laughing at the homophobia/racism etc and to what extent are you laughing with it. And with internet humour, there's the complicating factor of to what extent are you just laughing at the absurdity of a certain thing, like with Filthy Frank. Especially outside its original context and time period, filthy Frank isn't particularly funny, which is why people take it at face value, at which it's not offering any criticism or sensible portrayal of the character. That said, it was a different time, and it's not that I think that Joji personally holds those views or should be held accountable to them, but I'd say it's certainly the right call he made to stop with it.

The language bit is also was a major plus for Assassination Classroom when it comes to the minor details for me. The American flown in team speaking English, the ISS mostly speaking English. These details made it more convincing

The Joffrey actor, Jack Gleeson, is back to acting now :> Sucks he felt he had to quit for 6 years... really nice guy... really great actor. Can't wait to see what he does with his career.

He also doesn't fear to be role casted or always seen as Joffrey anymore since everybody tries to forget about GoT and no-one tries to lure ppl into GoT anymore,

BTW a "tech goblin" is called a gremlin. It's what solders called the monsters that F*cked up their equipment during combat in WWII in aircraft and other machinery.

21:00 the sad thing is that, I had to read the manga bc spoilers for AOT were basically unavoidable back then when the hype was huge. Now that I've finished the manga, I don't feel that excited anymore for the anime just because some selfish clout chasers decided to spoil everything.

Depends ....if its something like aot ..the final arc is just depressing ...there is no way that i will look forward toword something like that. ....even now i can still rewatch aot from s1 to s3 but s4 is just depressing

This is one of the best Trash Taste episodes of all time. It felt more relatable cause when you're with friends, you love joking about stuff and looking at dumb memes lol

I love how whenever Garnt posts a video, the podcast episode that comes out that week has a section that almost verbatim mirrors what is said in his video. Like a man testin his stand up set with his friends before a show or somethin

In France the whole hands over the table rule for eating is because centuries ago each guest's wine caraf was under their chair, and poison rings were a thing, so if your hands were beneath the table you could slip poison under your neighbour's chair and into their wine. So now we keep our hands above the table during meals. Similarly, cheese knoves are curved at the end, because to pick up the cheese, they need spikes at the end, but to avoid them being weaponized, the end was curved like a butter knife, but still allowing to pick up the cheese.
