There would have to be a few caveats: 1. You aren’t the ONLY creator they watch, like, they aren’t obsessed with you exclusively 2. They are OF LEGAL AGE 3. They aren’t pressured into doing things they normally wouldn’t just to please you 4. They are preferably minimally on social media 5. They aren’t using your relationship for clout 6. They care about you as a person, not just as an online personality 7. They understand how to interact and NOT interact with people online if the relationship gets discussed

It depends. As someone who worked with a lot of notable celebrities, including people I looked up to. I've been conditioned not to idealise people or assume I know them. But I also understand not everyone is like me and there's definitely a level where people are in a parasocial relationship. There should ALWAYS be a part of your private life your partner has no access to. I cannot express how healthy this is to practice in relationships. I experienced this firsthand and one of my exes DEMANDED I do certain things with my phone and social media and it was so fucking gross. I lost year long friendships because he demanded I get rid of certain things on my phone, had no other way to keep in contact with some of those people once I did that.

I dunno, I kinda disagree. I think if you are hiding aspects of your personal life and keeping aspects of your life private from your partner and you guys are serious, that's probably not healthy. It sounds to me more like you are talking about a controlling partner who wants immediate and constant access to your communications and personal life. That's definitely toxic. However, sharing all aspects of your life with a good partner, voluntarily, that's the ideal goal. I guess I would say in an ideal relationship, you should be open about everything, both ways.

If you are 2 consenting adults, i think its perfectly fine (Often thats the big issue with creator-fan relationships.) And they might have a little parasocial thoughts when you start sure, but if they’re not a superfan and are mature, i think it’s pretty simple to separate the creator from their content. If they like you for you, doesn’t matter if they found you online or in a bar. Plenty of KZbinrs and even celebrities have been with their fans and it turned out okay. But I can also see why someone like Connor would feel weird ab it and try to avoid it. Probably hard to find an ideal partner who’s also your fan, but i say if you feel a genuine connection with someone and you’ve made sure they’re not just interested in your online persona, its worth considering trying

If the person is genuinely interested in you as a human being and not your "stage persona" and is not in it for the clout, then why not? There's this stereotype that fans are mindless and obsessive and just want to "catch" a celebrity as some kind of throphy. And while these fans certainly exist, there's more than enough people who are not like this. So it's definitely possible for a real human connection to form between a creator and a fan.

I think for extremely famous celebrities once you get to a certain high level of fame, you’re essentially at a place where everyone around you is either a ‘fan’ of your work to some degree, or they actively dislike your work or at most are disinterested in it. Seeing as it wouldn’t make sense to date someone who dislikes or is actively uninterested in your own life’s achievements, their only choice at that point is to date someone who is a ‘fan’ to some degree.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while, it’s so strange when you have all these teenagers worshiping these child celebrity stars like the cast of Stranger Things. People’s obsession with Millie Bobby Brown is very strange to me!! Just because you watched some inspirational speeches of them or you watch them be nice in public, because they are obviously being recorded. That is just one perspective on a celebrity that you like but you absolutely know nothing about them, but you act like you’re connected with them because you see them a certain way when the camera is on but you don’t think about who are they when the camera is off? They are celebrities that I like and admire as well, but I am only liking them from one perspective of them. I can never judge them face-to-face.

Hmm... For me, the phone password thing is a pink flag. It's mostly red, but there's one or two circumstances where it's understandable! Like if you want to play a game on their phone. Like you're doing Pokemon GO together, and one of you is driving. Instead of having to constantly take the phone and reenter your password when you have a moment, just tell them your code. Or if one of your phones are blowing up when its inconvenient. You were using an app for navigation or music and it crashed. I think those are understandable circumstances to ask. But if it just comes out of the blue with no pesky technology BS annoying you, that is ABSOLUTELY a red flag!

Sleeping with fans is whatever. There’s zero commitment at play, just make sure to use protection (as you should normally be doing, anyway). Half the time, it’s more about the fan stroking THEIR ego than the actual celebrity in question, where they’ll get to brag about their brush with fame. Dating fans? Ehhhhh, that’s usually a really bad idea. The fan already has too many expectations and assumptions about you based on the public content that you’ve chosen to put out; meanwhile, you know close to nothing about them. Not to mention the fact that you both exist in completely different realms of reality in terms finances, social life, and just general priorities.
