Frustration is a very positive sign. It means that the solution to your problem is within range, but what you're currently doing isn't working, and you need to change your approach in order to achieve your goal.

Nurse Queen I’m still thinking of making that transition to traveling but I think of my kids. I don’t want them staying with anyone but I’m not sure how it will be to have them on the road.

Being a travel nurse it pays to be in the more speciality areas such as ER, ICU, CCU, Cath Lab, OR. Those areas will get paid better than say med/surg. And it doesnt matter what area you are in, crisis rates will not always be a factor.
@eja95392 жыл бұрын
These days it’s seems like med surg areas have a higher pay rate since everyone has fled med surg and the demand for travelers is high.
@kokidchaz47902 жыл бұрын
So what pays more, can you make 200k being travel nurse fulltime , not states like Cali or ny
@ghettohey23882 жыл бұрын
@@kokidchaz4790 so what pays more. It all depends on what area you practice in, what unit you want or can work in and what shift. Thats why its called travel nursing. Its all based on the demand needed. Depending on the need 200,000 might be possibly. I do know that a travel nurse no matter the area of practice will make more than a permeant position at a hospital in the same area of practice Always. One because of the different ways your taxed and two it just pays more. I know during the pandemic you definitely could have made that easily. I would say the issue with Cali is that its a unionized state so the environment/working conditions for nurses is better but the cost of living sucks. So nurses dont have as much of a need or desire to travel but not to say it doesnt happen. Some people just want to travel a d see the world.

12k a week and they were crying about being “burned out” wow. With that money i would snort a line every few hrs and keep pushing. With that money i could pay off so much. Go to a 3rd world country and see how people live for a day, will make you feel blessed real quick.

There is one way I know nurses that are getting per diem jobs in northern Cali making 105-125 an hour and flying to work their shifts and come back home. We get time and a half after 8 hours and double time after 12 hours we would work 4 16 hr shifts a week and come back home with a big check. May not work out for everyone but for me it’s good.

The only thing I have experience in is med surge and infusion (non oncology) and since there are barely infusion contracts, I feel I’d have to do med surge and I absolutely hate med surge .. but I’m tired of feeling limited financially and in the town I currently work at (poor diversity) .. so idk if it’s a good idea to sign up for travel in the specialty I hate

GCU But you have to live in one of the states that there approved in. They will team you up with hospitals there are affiliated with. There 3 weeks at a time. 1 Secession is 5 weeks so plan accordingly with your family and work.

Awesome Content! 🎆 Questions: 1. How is the Atlas Agency fairing for traveling RNs in North California? I’m an insomniac, workaholic, New Yorker from the city and my goal is to be a Trauma Certified ICU Traveling ER Nurse (ENP/MSN). The plan is, with me only needing 3-4 hours sleep😴, I would work any shift mainly in North California hospitals out of my Suburban vehicle and hit the local gym & Walmart for all of my other humane needs to exist. lol 🚿🛀🪥🛌 👟🏃♂ And I’m reaching for MSN as opposed to ASN or BSN so that I’m most-favored and marketable. 2. What are your thoughts? 3. I will work any shift at any location , so what specialty pays the most? 4. Can I do 11 months on a contract, 2 months home, then another 11 months on a contract a the same hospital without loosing all of my wonderful traveling benefits? Ex.: I consider December and January my “vacation” months, then come back to work. 5. Can you work multiple contracts if the commute works for you? 6. Since my home state is New York City, in your experienced opinion, what is the possibility of my get a traditional 13 month contract in New York City? 7. I also have land property in about 7 states so far. In your experienced opinion, how plausible is it for me to work temporarily in the state that they are located? ✈🛫 (Arkansas, NC, SC, CA, NV, NM)🛬 8. How often do you witness Traveling RNs that have no savings?💸💸 9. How do you show proof for your travel expense reimbursements?💰 Thank you so much for your time. thanksdoc🙏

im not her but an rn with my bsn so to answer your first question; getting your msn and working as a bedside rn wont really make you more favorable. adn or bsn wont matter much as its all about experience more than anything
