I am always so jealous of those of you who can fly places non-stop. I guess I can vacation in Denver or Salt Lake lol.

Our favorite short-stay vacation is four nights in Nassau, Bahamas. JetBlue has a 6:30 am flight that gets us to the hotel by 10:30 am and take the 6:30 pm flight back home (JFK), which means leaving the hotel at 4:45 pm. We essentially get a full five days of vacation at the resort (3 days off of work - always stay over the weekend). It is pretty tough to justify $400-550/pp airfare for only 3 nights.

I’ve mentioned this before but you are my favorite travel channel for Cancun vacations. Such helpful information, thanks for all you share! We are contemplating a short trip this spring due to time constraints and this really helps.

I really really enjoy this channel. I already am familiar with a lot of what you discuss tips/tricks wise, BUT, the way your present the info is so appealing to me. For starters, I like your voice. I have this weird thing with voices and idc how good the info presented may be, I’ll stop watching if the voice turns me off. Second, you are so humble. You’re not showy, you dont have that look at me/pick me attitude a lot of people have today and while Im sure you’re monetized, the vibe I get is you do this b/c you love it vs. it all just being about the money or showing off…just to name a few things lol. Keep on keepin on and safe travels 🤘🏻💜

You have the formula down perfectly! We use these tips exactly. We live in Texas so our flight is only 2 1/2 hours more or less non stop. We also travel light and never check bags. It’s a waste of time plus we have transportation waiting for us. We follow this and are able to travel multiple times a year. We also have pets and we can’t be gone long. Our family is so helpful with them but we can’t burden them for more than the 3 nights. 😅 we found a crazy cheap deal for December so back to Cancun we go!

Great info as always and all makes sense if time off is your biggest limiting factor and you live in a major center with direct flights to the major tourist destinations. I love your videos and am not questioning what you are saying here at all however most people's limiting factor is money more so than time and travelling 3 days at an all inclusive can be significantly more expensive on a cost/day basis. In general 3 day trips are about 20% more/day than 7 day trips (mainly due to the fact that flight costs and many taxes and fees/transfer costs are basically the same no matter how long you go for) so one 7 day trip is cheaper than two 3 day trips. The longer you go the cheaper the cost/day with 9-10 days being around 30%/day cheaper than 3 days and 14 days around 40% cheaper/day. Also if you are planning a trip around the weekend flying on Friday /Saturday is usually more than midweek flights. Now of course a 3 day trip is less total $ out of your pocket and if that's all the time you can afford or all the money you can afford or you like to see multiple destination then by all means 3 day trips can be great but if you have the time and $ to take multiple 3 day trips/year and you are looking to maximize value for your $ longer trips are a better value.

Sometimes the entire bottom line is cheaper too. I was recently pricing out JFK to Aruba, and the total cost for a 7 night stay was cheaper than a 4 night stay. It was for a vacation package but I'm assuming it was the hotel portion encouraging a longer stay.

All great tips but I'll add that most of these apply even if you are going for a week or more. You want to maximize your time actually enjoying vacation and not sitting in airports or taxis, etc. I am unable to get a direct flight to CUN or PUJ so it's usually about 10 hours of travel to get into my room, so again all these things help offset long travel days if you don't live near a major airport.

Ummm. You worked a full time job that gave you 2 days off per week? Plus a week vacation time you could split up? That's like 21 weeks of vacation per year.
@3Days3Noches4 ай бұрын
Hopefully most people get two days off per week!! it’s called weekends! I was in management and consulting and was able to adjust my schedule frequently - so I could work 6 days a week and then trade in some days off when I traveled! It’s doable! Even in a strict 9-5 you could make it happen! At least a few times a year!
@GreggGordon4 ай бұрын
@@3Days3Noches Yeah, I understood it to be a weekend... but it's the right way to express it as lots of people don't necessarily get Saturday and Sunday as their days off. And perhaps Nicky doesn't realize how much it varies throughout the world. Mexicans get 1 day a week off. I personally have a job that is technically five 7 hour days each week, but we compress that into 4 days and get 3 days off each week. And the vacation also can vary around the world, with the US unfortunately getting the short end of that stick.
