Dum Aloo is a potato - based curry dish. Dum means slow - cooked and Aloo is potato. Its main ingredients are spice, tomato, potato and garlic. It is part of the traditional Kashmiri Pandit cuisine, from the Kashmiri Valley, in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Dum also is cooked widely in India and Pakistan.

Gabriel , This journey has been very interesting. The differences are very unique from one area to another , which made me wonder why they are so different . India is just a mass of different peoples who wound up being neighbors I guess . The differences in religion has something to do with it. These places are not explored much, but they have fantastic trekking opportunities, especially in Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh, and also in North Sikkim and Nagaland. Meghalaya has a cool Double Decker Living Root Bridge, kind of like in the movie Avatar, and some awesome waterfalls like NohKaLikai Falls, Phi Phi Fall, and Wei Sawdong Falls. small correction kashmir is not completely belongs to muslim community ,hindu pandits are 35-40% of total population in kashmir.before joinning to india kashmir was ruled by hindu king .so hindus had equal rights in the territory.so dont mention it as muslim region like other parts of india it belongs to every indian

Kashmir is 97% Muslim. Maybe you're thinking of Jammu and Kashmir, because the region of Jammu is majority Hindu.

yes right now it was 97% but check before 1990 .there was an exodus of hindu pandits in early 1990 which made present day situation @@GabrielTravelerVideos

Leh in winter now that’s a challenge, a suggestion take diamox medicine before boarding flight to Leh as in winter oxygen levels are lower than usual, I know it from experience. I got sick last year by doing Leh in winter via flight as I forgot the medicine & started trekking right away without acclimatizing properly
