After watching Lime play this I downloaded it myself, and my goodness, it itches every scratch for a Minecraft lover along with making the game an ENTIRELY different experience altogether. This game basically just looks like Minecraft. The mechanics are easy to understand, with ramping mechanics that can be very complicated. I actually love this game rofl- thanks for introducing it and can't wait to see the rest of the playthrough!

It'll make your computer sound like a jet engine for a few minutes but bump your render distance up when you're just messing about in a small area so you can reveal more of your map. Need to stress that it's a good idea to make sure you're safe because there can be stuttering but it's such a handy thing. You can also bump it back down to 512 or whatever after it's done rendering the new areas on the map

This is a SUB-ONLY game just so you know guys, and yeah - its a minecraft ripoff, basically a paid mod. I know the devs dispute this, but I first watched this and 100% thought it was a modded minecraft series. Ive been a modpack dev for about 6 years now and this 100% looks like a modpack. Also, people on the forums are complaining about how bears are overpowered killing machines that are wrecking their tames and their livestock, stuff like pulling livestock through fences and other things. Keep in mine it takes A VERY LONG TIME to get tames/livestock and raise them. In the forum posts in question NO DEVS HAVE RESPONDED AT ALL SO NO FIX IS BEING PLANNED AS FAR AS I KNOW. So yeah, buyer beware!
@Brandon34098 Жыл бұрын
having dug many snow caves and slept in them compacted snow and glazed ice is very protective from the outside cold however as one would expect you still require something to help keep warm, a candle in such an environment is huge and the smaller the entrance/exit the lower heat loss there is but also limits airflow which can be lethal i cant imagine how a small fire in such a structure or its dangers would be but when its below survivable temperatures it would be a required risk

8:10 Dude, you only need 1 grass, for a charcoal pit, the cold must be getting to your brain. You have enough trees there for easy a 3x3x1 pit You do also know that you only need fire wood to build the fire then you can take it out and use another fuel source? If you ever see peat on a hill side! The fat is eatable, if you got to. Raw grain also can be wolfed down when it's a bad time. If we could stew bones that be a nice addition. You should use the bones to make a better knife or axe, flit tip and bone add a larger durability! Even more if you find obsidian. No so impromptu really :3 Wonder if regret is setting in for not chopping more trees before he climbed atop, a GLACIER! In a survival setting panic can often make you over look resources or an easier path. Keeping eyes open near trees for mushroom spawns, open ground or on trunks, should be on the survival list, they wont respawn in ice hell but could be a game changer.

You started during Polar Day. There will be no night at all for the next few months. No night - no drifters. Then you will get to Polar Night, and it will be pitch black 24 hours a day. Meaning drifters will spawn all the time. Make the most of a time you got left.

I wonder if this would even be possible without getting any of those supply caches? There hasn't been any sign of reeds or dry grass in the overworld you've explored at all, so if it wasn't for those jars, this would probably have been a very very short series. I hope that somewhere in the world it would be possible to harvest these supplies naturally, otherwise it just looks like the game simply wouldn't allow you to survive if you didn't run into any ruins in these conditions.
@AnotherJRB Жыл бұрын
That's exactly why the "arctic cache" vessel type was added, to make the "snowball earth" challenge more feasible. Ruins are very common, so not finding vessels is not too much of a risk unless you also turn on the setting that disables them (and traders), which would probably make the challenge nigh impossible.
